I understand where you guys are coming from because this is exactly what this show does to you, it makes you so conflicted! After multiple rewatched I might still be conflicted haha. And you’re right, love becomes such a huge theme this season. I personally love the parallels between Max and Eleanor throughout the series and how they tied up their stories with Max learning one final lesson from her - that it’s all meaningless without the ones you love. That entire skeleton island scene is one of the most visually gorgeous of the show. Finally I know there’s technically 2 more eps but imo we’ve arrived at the finale of this epic story.

-A quick heads up -- the series finale, 410, has a cold open before the credits so be on the lookout for it so you don't miss anything. :) -The name of Rogers' ship is the "Eurydice". 😢 (For Greek Mythology lovers like myself.) -Idelle teaching Anne a valuable lesson in forgiveness. She's a great side character. -Skeleton Island!! I absolutely love that setting. It looks amazing. And no one can tell a ghost story like Flint. The way he describes the place is chilling.

Yep. To N&S I personally would suggest watching the final 2 eps as closely together as possible, they just go so well together. And as Charlotte mentioned, cold open in 4x10 :)

I’m so sad that you guys are coming to the end of Black Sails. I’ve watched this dozens of times since the finale aired. John Silver is my fav but Flint, Vane and Rackham are all close behind. Don’t know if you’ve picked something to replace it or have a list but I’m begging you to check out The Last Kingdom. Even if it’s just the first couple of episodes. It’s in the vein of Vikings but better IMO. I have a feeling you’ll love it and Uhtred of Bebbanburg, the main character. You’ll want to smack him sometimes but he’s great. The 5th and final season will air soon on Netflix plus I think we’re getting a movie.

I love the look of Skeleton island. It’s dome so well - spooky, yet intriguing. The music for the introduction of Skeleton Island is amazing (though the music throughout is terrific also). Everyone is right about the cold open in 4 x 10. 4 x 9 does have a flashback too (FYI - starts at the beginning of the episode and then you’ll see it throughout the episode). Lastly, I agree with others. It’s very difficult to watch 4x9 and 4x10 separately. It’s really a continuation of the stories in these episodes. Personally, I couldn’t wait to watch 4x10 right after I finished 4x9. Just my two cents. I agree with Chandra - The Last Kingdom is a terrific show to watch after this. It, too, is one of my absolute favorites.

Agree with y'all about The Last Kingdom. The one solace I take with Black Sails ending is that their next new main show will be TLK (think Steven said sometime next year). Only watched it once so very excited for a rewatch and the final season!
