I love any scene with Ruth and Marty. Their conversations are always fun.

I love Ruth’s character. IMO she’s gonna grow on you big time. Ruth (Julia Garner) won an Emmy for Outstanding supporting actress in a drama over some GoT nominees. Her performances are so good and fun.

it's the FBI guy! at the bar walking in on Marty and the owner. . Ok, still watching u may actually catch on to that. :) LOL. these first few eps are a bit slow but it picks up and never stops.... Falling in love with Ruth all over again. It's so fun to take the ride a second time. My top-3 fav female character and up and coming actress, Julia is so good..

Maybe... Just maybe.. all the Karens we are seeing lately are really just Wendys having pistachio ice cream type issues due to Cartel related problems. Just a thought.

Why don't people understand that talking about how much we'll love certain characters is a spoiler? it's not that hard to just discuss the episode in question.

We wanna see Marty succeed at this like we did early on with Walt & Jesse in BrBa. As for the F.B.I. guy, he was correct in not wanting to be associated with another agent. He's undercover and, for the job at hand, he just can't. I would imagine that you probably can't let personal emotions rule you in a situation like that.... gotta do the job, first & foremost. Still doesn't NOT make him an arrogant, heartless tool though. Ruth is a very interesting character. She seems like she has zero tolerance for adults, yet has a soft spot for younger ones. Possibly because it appears that she was forced to grow up so young and, in turn, was then forced to bypass her youth? Good stuff so far!

I never noticed it was the F.B.I. guy asking about the burger deal! Great catch!

The Sarah Mclachlan cameo is awesome. I love her.

I've just started watching this alongside you guys, and I've got a random fun little tidbit I realized after watching this episode. During the 2nd episode, it was driving me nuts trying to remember where I recognized the actor that plays Boyd Langmore. I couldn't place him but was afraid to IMBD him for fear of spoilers, so just moved on. Then after watching this episode I noticed the name Christopher Baker in the credits, and immediately recognized the name. After going to his wikipedia page and seeing what other things he's been in, I recognized the title of something. It was a movie that I never saw called Deliverance Creek, which was filmed here in Austin. The only reason I know it was filmed here is because Chris Baker and 2 other actors would come into the bar I worked at after shooting each night, and proceed to drink every single beer that was on our tap wall (82 of them) over the course of a week or two. They were all super chill and friendly and invited us to join them whenever we were done with our shifts. I drank with them at least 3 different nights and not once did they ever seem to be anything but genuine, regular people. One of the other two guys isn't super famous himself, but he's married to Academy Award-winner Mira Sorvino. They even tried to get me in touch with somebody for work as an extra, but unfortunately a lack of reliable transportation prevented me from doing it. Long story short, I've met Boyd Langmore and had a beer with him.
