And, as for Chuck's condition, it is indeed an "illness". Judging by the story line, the condition seemed to have been brought on by Rebecca leaving him. Jimmy and Kim's bringing her to the hearing was brilliant. They knew she was the catalyst of it all and that she could evoke the response they needed to prove their case. All through the series they've shown brief moments that, when Chuck was consumed with something other than lamenting losing Rebecca, proved the condition was all in his head. The one that stands out in my mind was the time Jimmy had just brought the Sandpiper case to HHM, Chuck walked outside to get something in a vehicle as naturally as any normal human being would.... because his mind was consumed with something else.
