Sorry, but I completely disagree with you/partially agree with Nikki on the Kacey/Monica matter. She told him to leave so he left. Telling him afterwards that she wanted him to fight is a bs argument, that I can't here anymore. Besides that it's a+ gaslighting. Instead of sending misleading signals, she should have clearly told him, what she wants. The reason Kacey went back to his father is because he wants the ranch for Monica and Tate, because in his mind he doesn't have anything else to offer. He said it multiple times. Instead of supporting Kacey and talking to him, she's constantly complaining and picking on him. Also, I don't know why you bring up Kacey killing three men in every episode. He killed them in self defence, period. Remember, his brother in law killed Kacey's brother and the other two guys tried to kill Kacey first. Kacey is not the bad guy here and he is not a criminal either. He didn't have a record. Nothing was wiped and the reason why he is mentally in such a bad shape is because he has ptsd from being in war and him being branded by his father after he impregnated Monica, which led to the fallout with John. You're right, it's not Monica's job to fix him, but it is her job to support him and she could do that by talking and asking Kacey about the reasons why he does things the way he does and showing some understanding instead of turning her back on him separating him from his son. Monica is the least likable character in the show.

I mean, to play devils advocate, cause it's fun, about Kacey... to start, not sure either of us have actually called him a bad person but big trouble sure does find him easy. Two examples outside of his self defense killings... at the gas station, where dude pulled a knife on him (again trouble finding him and needing to self defend), even the Sheriff said he took it too far and didn't press charges because of his military status. With his training, that drifter was no real threat to Kacey. And then kicking the horse out from under Dan... Dan is a POS but it takes a dark person to do something like that. Kacey looked surprised that his record was clean hence our surprise that his record was clean. The entire point of our conversation about Kacey & Monica is communication - Like I said, we can't read each other's mind but it's extremely normal for separations to happen and one party to be upset the other "didn't try harder" to get them back.

The scene of John going from his dinner table with all his dysfunctional children who all have major issues to going outside and seeing Rip out there just working i felt John was feeling bad about what he did to Rip and was thinking Rip is the son he wished he had.
