Idk if you guys read these comments or not but, the cigarettes are herbal cigarettes as the actor (Tommy) doesn’t smoke and also did you pay attention to how now he slides his cigarette across his lips now before he lights it, he said it used to pull the skin off his lips before he discovered this method he uses now. Just some FYI by the way I’ve seen this series numerous times,but I wanted to watch with you guys as you get so invested in the characters and so fun to rewatch with you both.

Losing John who was one of the fan favorites on Peaky Blinders meant a lot to fans and the Shelby family because John was the heart of the family and now Arthur and Tommy are left alone to do this gangster work. But sadly John was one of the reasons why the beef even started with the Changrettas but Esme was the reason John died at the end because she perverted him from going to that family meeting.

John’s handling of the Italians is what caused all of this to escalate to a war. After each encounter, he took it to next level without figuring out all the ramifications. Tommy was too busy with Russian business and Arthur just couldn’t corral him. So, if anyone was going to feel the full brunt of this John was who it needed to fall on. I love the whole family dynamic of the show. But the brother’s connections are truly the heart of the show. Losing John Boy hurt. Seeing it in Arthur and Tommy’s faces made the pain even more painful. I commend the show for being brave enough to show the real grit of the lifestyle and choices they made
