Rewards Sent + Iris Heart + Cabin of the Dead (Patreon)

How's it going guys! First things first, I sent out the May rewards a few days ago. If you haven't received a message, please let me know!

Been a bit busy with real life because the lockdown in my city is slowly being lifted and had to deal with family stuff. But I'm back to work now and it's time to get busy with art and gamedev again!

Speaking of Gamedev and as you might have noticed in the title of the post, I'm calling the Zombie Eroge "Cabin of the Dead" from here on out. And along with changing the name, I've taken a step back and looked at the project as a whole. Since there's only one Heroine now, I decided to overhaul the story and characters. 

Long story short, Cabin of the Dead is now an ero romance story between the senior highschool student Mark (Player) and the school nurse Elise, set in a highschool camping trip. It seems like a drastic change, but I haven't actually gotten too far with the old version so there's not much wasted effort 😂

I'm changing the gameplay as well. Instead of having a persistent real time day & night system with a complicated survival element, gameplay will now revolve around fulfilling quests and fighting zombies. It's just easier for me to create a linear game this way. Considering I slashed the scope of the project, it just makes sense to cut down on the gameplay as well.

I also drew a few designs for Elise. The left and middle are her outfits at the start of the game (third on is scrapped). Since this is an eroge, she will be in various states of undress and she'll have a different outfit further into the story ^_^

I focused on writing the new story and making a few more art assets to help me visualize the story so there's no video progress for now. But here are a few screenshots of some new art!

A lot of things probably don't make sense and that's why I really want to release an early version this month so there's a common ground for discussion.

I hope you like the Iris Heart art as well! It's been raining a lot so I really, really miss the sun 😊 I actually planned to draw Purple Heart or Black Heart in their new outfits from the Mainichi CompileHeart app, but I couldn't think of a pose to draw them so I drew Iris Heart instead 😂 I'll try again later but anyway I think that about wraps up this post.
