Intro
After discovering that he possesses the gift of magic, Lyon, a commoner, is sent to the prestigious Ceres Academy of Magic. There, he must learn to control his newfound powers. Much to his dismay, he is placed in a dilapidated shack instead of the dorms. That's only the beginning of his problems as he realizes that the world of magic is infinitely different from his own.

Very short intro. I'm not really good with words (don't worry I have a writer) so let's just talk about the details. A lot has changed from the initial post that I made ages ago.
Firstly, it is now a Visual Novel & Stat-Raising hybrid. I felt that the school-setting lends itself well to stat-raising and I really wanted to add interactivity to the game aside from making choices. Let's talk about the game loop, it's a pretty standard stat raiser so you won't be seeing anything revolutionary here :3
Gameplay

As seen in the image, you have an overview of the Ceres Academy Island and various locations you can interact with. Each day you have 3 slices of time (Morning, Noon, and Night) and it's up to you to spend each slice.
Naturally, the objective of the game is to raise stats to end up with a heroine. There are 2 ways to increase stats: go to classes or take side quests.
The stats are:
- Strength
- Charisma
- Finesse
- Holy Magic
- Dark Magic
- Elemental Magic
Stat-raising events will advance time, however there will be non-time advancing events peppered across the game. You won't be able to max out every stat in a single play through.
There will be "Stat Check" events throughout the game (ie. exams and random events). Stats also unlock extra scenes as well as lewd scenes.
In short, Stats are Important.
Characters
I plan to reveal the heroines per week. At the moment, there are 4 heroines, with the possibility to add more in the future in the form of community voting. The one in the opening image is Miranda Crowe, the young instructor of Dark Magic. Note that her outfit is not final, its just the quickest thing I could whip up :3
Progress
Art: As you can tell by this bare post, there isn't much. But I have all the time to draw them now (︶ω︶)
Programming: So far, I've gotten the stats, the day cycle and navigation done. I've also started coding the location handling. I still have to code the inventory and a lot more that I can't think of right now.
Story: I'm only up to the first few days of the game. I want to focus a bit on the coding and art first before continuing the story.
Next week, my aim is to reveal a heroine as well as a video of the gameplay (because writing about it is such a pain ><) Stay tuned!

I think that about wraps up this post. It's not as exhaustive as I want it, but I want to work instead of writing this post (believe me it took me the entire day just to write this ( ̄ ̄;) (Writing really isn't my forte)
