I'm going to be revising this page and my blog in the coming month and I wanted everyone to know that. I'm not going to be making drastic changes, but a face lift and some more realistic goals (see below). I'm seriously considering a revision on who gets the Patreon Specials. As it stands, anyone who throws in gets access to all the previous material which creates a perverse incentive. I'm considering adopting a model where the first special of each month is accessible to all patrons and the second (and third and fourth if those goals are reached) are only accessible to patrons at a specific backer level. Any material currently uploaded before April 1, 2015 will remain available to ALL patrons (past or present); this would only affect material uploaded after April 1, 2015. I've also been getting some estimates for bundling material for PDFs and unless I can get a huge cost break or find the time to do it myself that's not feasible at the current level it's stated at. Basically, I overreached in some places and I'm going to have to make it right to continue at a normal pace. I was new at this sort of thing when I started and I sincerely hope this doesn't drive any of you away with the feeling that I'm "money-grubbing." I'm trying to be realistic and deliver content that is usable to you and your games and sometimes that requires experience more than enthusiasm. I'm also hoping this opens a dialogue so that anyone who has concerns or ideas can voice them. With Regards, Christopher R. Rice

You've got a case of Pyramid 2 syndrome there. Back then the best time to get a subscription was "next year" too. Frankly, I don't think I'm going to increase my pledge anytime soon to get more content, but I'm not going away either. If it starts to become a toss between supporting this blog or buying a new GURPS pdf, I'd buy the pdf. As I see Patreon it is not charity, but business relations and at the moment your monthly special is worth two or three dollars to me. I'm not ruling out changes in the future, but that's where I stand at the moment. The only exception to the business relation rule are people whose work I've profited of a lot in the past. That's why Aaron Williams of Nodwick fame, who posted the complete run of the series on his website, gets a bit more of my money. So, to make things short, I just wanted to give you some "reader response" and let you know how things stand for me at least. I'm interested in seeing what you come up with. Your work is an inspiration in any case.

I *highly* appreciate your response. I would never presume to make you choose between myself and Pyramid - that's not a winning battle. The basic idea I have will probably use a 1-2-3-5 scheme. I'm not going to change it dramatically, but I want some granulation. Thank you very much for the kind words - I do my very best by others and try to create things people can use. :-)
