There are some Easter eggs in this episode by the way! The Valley is supposed to be a show they watch that’s like The OC and they are poking fun at themselves through that show. Like when Seth says they cast older people to play high school and Rachel who plays Summer is originally from the valley - stuff like that. Also Adam who plays Seth is known to improvise lines! The original name for the cohens was going to be the needlemans that’s why they named gradys character needleman.

And the reference to co-stars dating! Adam and Rachel dated throughout the whole show for about 3,5 years. So yeah, that´s why Summer and Seth have the best chemistry of the whole show.
