I love how Coach and Tami’s marriage is portrayed. They are both obviously pretty progressive people in terms of gender roles in a marriage. But they are also in a community that’s probably a lot more traditional in these views. So they keep stumbling into the Male-dominated habits and having to renegotiate things. But they manage it in the end with mutual respect, even if they don’t always observe that respect at all times when they get distracted by their jobs and other outside tensions.
