Those cliffhanger endings really make you -- or me, and I've seen it before -- want to binge it. They lampshaded that by writing a literal cliffhanger for one of the season finales but scrapped it because it leaked online.

Great reaction. "HUH?! You're kidding me. What the heck? That's all I get? I was waiting so I could have a look, too." So real. Gina Torres is fantastic in everything she’s in, but I particularly love the homoerotic way she plays Anna, kinda like Faith with Buffy in S3, except Anna does it to be condescending and to provoke Sydney. Greg Grunberg is JJ’s best friend since kindergarten, and he’s in every JJ project even if just a cameo or voiceover. I love him as Weiss, Vaughn’s colleague, friend, and unsolicited advice giver: “Your girlfriend’s name is Alice.” “May I say something? And not just as a fellow officer, but as a *very* smart man. You’re starting to get too emotional about this.” And then they proceed to have a long conversation about Vaughn's feelings. LOL Not usually the type of conversation we hear between male characters, or at least in 2001. That’s why the toxic masculinity term “bromance” was invented — to make it okay for men to be close and talk about their feelings. 🙄 I love the hangout scenes partly because of the naturalistic overlapping dialogue — that’s how a group of friends would talk, often over each other. It’s difficult to film because if one actor messes up, you have to start the scene all over again. Sydney demanding that Vaughn get promoted to be reinstated as her handler reminded me of Buffy ordering the Watchers Council to rehire Giles with backpay. I just watched an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm with that newsstand, and I was like, “Where do I know that newsstand from?” Aha. Trying to figure out Jack is fun. I immediately bought into Jack because Sydney so desperately wanted to, and she already lost her mother. Then I started wondering if JJ was like Joss Whedon (I hadn't seen Felicity), and I got nervous.
