Golly, this was a big one!

If you've followed my work at all (Which I think is a logical assumption to make here on Patreon!) you'll know how much musical theatre is an influence on my work.

So when Failbetter approached me to make a musical about their fantastical and wonderfully gay take on Victorian London, something just clicked and I immediately knew the time had come to really lean HARD into that musical theatre bent.

London has been the setting of so many iconic musicals, it just made sense.

I didn't set out to write a 12 minute micro-musical. But the ideas just kept coming and there was so much to explore in the world of Fallen London that I couldn't help myself.

So here's 'Neath!', one part 'Oliver!', one part 'Sweeney Todd' with just a dash of 'My Fair Lady' and a sprinkling of 'Mary Poppins'. Sondheim and the Sherman Brothers by ways of Stupes.

I couldn't be prouder of the result! I hope you all enjoyed it too!

Love the song, but I'm much old and not that tech savvy- how in the world do I download the MP3 to be able to listen to it elsewhere? I've not gotten the MP3 version off these posts in awhile and I'd love to add them to my car's Stupendium list :-)

Took me a second to figure it out. Just click the three dots and hit the download button.

Absolutely brilliant song, Stupes! One of your best yet. I am curious, though: how does the creative process work on your sponsored videos? How much of a hand does the sponsor have in the video you create—do they just sign off on the general idea it is it more than that?

I am consitenently blown away by Stupendium's lyrical range and talent for voices
