Here's a look behind the scenes of 'Rip and Tear'!

Unlike previous behind the scenes cuts of videos I released, you'll notice some pretty big differences between the initial animatic and what I ended up making. Sadly, the Covid-19 situation around the world struck just as I was due to film this project and things had to be changed last minute to make things work!
Originally I had a big studio shoot planned for this project. Almost everything you see in the video that was added in post, candles, petals, candelabras, etc, were going to be real, practical sets shot in the same large infinity cove where 'A Matter of Factories' and 'Slide Into the Void' were produced.
This larger space would have allowed for more dynamic camera work, practical sets and of course, a 90s boy-band dance sequence that was choreographed, rehearsed, but sadly had to be cut because the final video had to be produced entirely within a living room! Something that would not have been possible if it weren't for all of YOU. Your patreon support allowed me to upgrade my home filming equipment to a high enough standard to produce this video from home. New lights, a proper white backdrop, all paid for with your generous support. And they will allow me to continue to produce higher quality video from home for as long as this crisis continues.

All in all, I'm very proud I was able to get as close to my original plan as I did with this project, considering how production was turned completely on it's head just days before we were due to film. And I'm actually very fond of the fun little 'Doom Slayer at home' scenes we came up with in place of the planned dance sequences!

I hope you're all staying safe out there. There are scary times and I hope my silly videos are able to provide just a little relief from the heavy, heavy stuff we're seeing around the world right now. I want to thank all of you again for your support as the world goes kinda crazy. I promise I'll keep making the videos if you all promise to stay safe!
