omg what an odd movie, not at all what i thought! The loading took forever :( so a day late from halloween sadly.

You calling the animation simple at the beginning killed me because this movie is definitely top tier when it comes to animation. Ghibli really outdid themselves with Spirited Away. This movie won an Oscar despite being a foreign film and it was the reason they created a whole new category in the Oscars for animated films! Also spirits in traditional Japanese mythology don't have to be associated with dead people. Like Haku being a river spirit or the little soot spirits. Some look more human than others but they're all spirits. Also I think you would LOVE Howl's Moving Castle! Ghibli movies are so healing to me, the animation captures human qualities so well and the backgrounds are always so detailed and gorgeous. 2D animation is SO MUCH work especially with the level of detail their films have, but they always go the extra mile and animate little extra details.
