They collect 7 dragon balls throughout the season/journey. At the end there's a final where they can collect the remaining ones until they reach 7. Now they had quite a lot of dragon balls already because off Na PD, but often they only have like 3 so they would have to do 4 more missions in the final. However if they fail one mission in the final they all fail immediately. Doesn't matter if it's for the sixth of seventh dragon ball, the staff immediately "ends" the show. Sometimes they have to do group mission, but other times it's individual ones like in this episode. So if Minho failed, they would've all failed.
