a request f a show that i've been trying to get into! Depending on the response, this can be a big journey for us! If not, then a journey for me off patreon lol

so i watched your reaction, and yes, this is a very dark and deep anime, don't expect any comedy. a lot of fans might tell you "oh you missed that detail" while watching, these are really hard to catch on first watch so just enjoy watching it without thinking too deeply. You will never guess the storyline right anyway (no one could). If you continue this, be prepared to be in the dark until at least season 3 :) just enjoy and don't feel pressured to not like it just because of the big fandom. You stop when you want. Also you asked a lot of questions during this episode and i don't want to reply to most of them because the anime will reveal later. All i can tell you is that currently they are in the last wall (Maria) and in a district (little circles on the walls) called Shiganshina. The vasts areas between the walls are mostly plains.

2023-03-21 02:02:28 omg the way I was planning to sign up for your patreon next month bc this month is almost over but then I noticed you started this and I HAD to sign up rn. :') I think the reason people tend to say this is a great anime to start off if you wanna try anime is bc it has basically everything: world building, interesting group of characters that aren't "bad" or "good" (although Eren, Mikasa and Armin are the main trio, this anime has a huge cast that you'll also get to know throughout the show!) and imo, it's always those type of characters that have more depth and feel more intriguing to me, it has some humor here and there but the overall tone of the story is definitely dark! For all your questions, any thoughts you have will always get answered *eventually* so this world is more complex in a sense where it's important to pay attention to everything but also know things you may be confused by won't always get answered immediately, but I suggest to just enjoy the ride tbh. I love complex & psychological themes in animes, but I admit I'm slow at these things too lol Anime actually has this "three episode rule" where people tend to give a show at least until episode 3 to see if it's their style or not, haha. One of the reasons I think this anime has a great first episode is bc of its fast pacing bc shit is always happening the next second, but it also tends to slow down every now and then as a way for us to get to know the characters better (I'm talking about future eps for the second half of this sentence, fyi lol). Whether you end up continuing this or not, I'm looking forward to at least the next few eps that you said you'll binge to see if it's for you! :)
