Lee Kaeun was disgustingly rigged out of the final lineup. I still have not recovered after 6 years and its the reason why Survival Shows don't appeal to me anymore. And justice for Han Chowon as well because she's still very depressed and resentful to this day. Comparing the state of Lightsum and the post-Izone groups...yeah I would feel really bitter too.

1:16:39 what they mean by “Cube doesn’t teach you until you have the basics down” is there’s a “basics” choreography that all new trainees have to learn, it’s like a simple choreo that’s mostly to teach the trainees how to move to counts of music and basic body control, once they master that, the company will teach them actual dance. I believe most if not all companies have their version of the basics choreo. Kuanlin does Cubes version on Produce 101 S2. JYP Ent also has one that various idols have shown to Rihanna’s Umbrella. So it’s not that cube is lazy and not teaching them, it’s just like an introductory class they had to master to ensure they have a foundation for dance to work with. So in terms of “idols” Japan and Korea seems to have a different definition and approach to them. In K-pop, they recruit the trainees young, put them through rigorous singing/dance/acting training and debut them as a “finished product”, they’re an idol in terms of being like a superhuman that’s put on a pedestal for fans to admire. JPop idols on the other hand, they recruit the trainees, give them maybe a month to train (probably to memorize song and dance etc) and debut them right away. They’re not perfect and are more like your everyday peers that you watch grow over time. They seem more relatable to the average person and are more focused on being loveable personality rather than skills. So in a way they are at a disadvantage here. But what these AKB48 trainees have over the K-pop trainees is stage and performance experience. A lot of these girls have been active for years already and know how to interact with their audience. One thing that seems really unfair is, it seems like some of the AKB48 girls didn’t know they were being put on a survival show until they were basically put on a plane and sent to Korea.

Same, I’m still so angry knowing that Kaeun was rigged out of the group. Like, I love IZ*ONE as they are, definitely still one of my all time favorite groups and I wouldn’t change that line up. But it’s just sad and frustrating to know that Kaeun’s last chance at being an idol was ripped away from her by some greedy heartless adults.

Omg yess I forgot how many popular idols came from this show. Even if you don't get into Izone you still win in a way

DuckYena

I don't think it's actually known which of the members of Iz*One wouldn't have made it. A number of companies got in trouble, too many to easily tell who's members got bumped into the group.

DuckYena

Gonna object to the Yena not being a better singer but I'm biased. Yena was apparently going to join Everglow post Iz*One but she said no because she already was in a group and would only be in that one.
