C'mon guys, put two and two together. Episode 11 left off with Louis and Ibuki. Ep 12 starts off about them, and the ED is about them. Get it? It was an artistic decision to put the ED about Louis and Ibuki at the beginning, right before the scene between them. Symbolism and all.

The music video for the ending song extends ending visuals up to the death of Ibuki, the music video makes this scene much more emotional imo.
