Its funny that Akagi wants to reunite with her Sister Amagi, but if you know the History of those Ships, you will know that Amagi was never finished and was heavly damaged in the Great Kantō earthquake of 1923. It caused significant stress damage to the hull of Amagi. The structure was too heavily damaged to be usable, and conversion work was abandoned. Amagi was stricken from the navy list and sold for scrapping, which began on 14 April 1924 Not only that, but they planned 2 other Ships in the Amagi Battlecruiser Class. It was planned to name those 2 Atago and Takao . ( The Heavy Cruisers of the Takao Class became those Names later in 1932)
