Patreon Update + JOMA Expansion (Long Post but Please Read) (Patreon)
Content
There are some series that are highly troublesome for YouTube and their copyrights and the last thing we want is to continue to face copyright issues on Jouten's main channel. We also want to keep a balance of the series that appear on the channel and the series that appear on Patreon exclusively. Not all series that are patreon request will make it to YouTube in edited form. What we've learned through some of the series that have sponsorship request is that YouTube and the copyright holders from Japan are extremely strict, even if it shows 1 minute of footage. If your series falls under a company like Sony Music Entertainment, like Bunny Girl Senpai, that series will be Patreon only. There are a few more companies as well but we will update that list as we go along. This is to protect the channels from this situation from happening again. You can however expect these Patreon videos to be streamed live on twitch from time to time. Twitch VODs for Reactions are deleted immediately afterwards and posted on patreon.
As you guys know, we have passed our goal this month and I have been working on building the new website for JOMA. While Anime has been our bread and butter for the past year, for 2019 we will be expanding our content reach with Gaming and K-Pop. Most of you already know about gaming and we have our official channel now under JOMA Nation: (http://youtube.com/jomanation). The K-pop channel will be new to a lot of you however it would bridge the gap with my personal community and channel that has currently over 70,000 subscribers. Most of you not know the story, but before JOMA, Jouten and I had separate channel. For 2019, the goal is to become full time while creating content in the fields we love a lot. There are also a lot of opportunities for unique collaborations between these communities as we've grew up with esports/gaming, anime reviewing and k-pop reviewing personalities. The JOMA website will mark the next Journey beginning in January. K-Pop, Anime and Gaming are just the beginning as we have plans for Food and everybody's favorite, Story Time.
With the new website, we will also eventually have our videos on a new player like Vimeo to host our videos for the new website. This will make things much easier since Vimeo looks to not have the issues that Google Drive present for the most part and it will allow us to embedded our videos as well as allow for higher resolution playback. The website will be updated with content from Anime, Gaming and K-pop as those are our niches so there will be something for anyone of those categories.
Operation: Goth will not be stopped.
