Jordan's outfit v2 - This is why I do concepting. (Patreon)

So, after yesterday's post I started feeling less and less happy with the outfit I had settled for with Jordan. Not so much that it wasn't good, but it was too... cartoony. Zdoria was right about the egyptian feel being too strong. It felt a bit like a theme park cosplay getup.
I think it came from me not really understanding Jordan's aesthetic yet. Like I said, the only set I've featured her in so far she was entirely naked. In the end, if I'm going with a look and feel that's suitable to a rich, high end financial sector type girl, there are better alternatives.
First thing I did was play around with the skirt colour. I removed the skirt she had and changed it out for a shorter one in black. Changed the colour of her top's neckstrap as well, to remove more egyptian vibes. I really liked the bra and initially didn't wanna compromise much on the shape, but it's smart to never get too attached to one element. It kinda gives you tunnelvision.
The black skirt/sand-tone top was a good combo but I still felt like something was missing. Then I switched the old skirt back in, made it black instead. I did like the shape better so it was worth a revisit. But then I changed the belt material to a solid gold, and that's when everything started to come together.
Now, with that major gold element around her waist, the design felt like it was lacking symmetry. I couldn't really good a proper gold element introduced to the bra she was already wearing, so I found one with a sizeable chest band and turned that into gold instead.
Perfect!
To finalise the design, I changed the arms on her shades to gold as well. They're pretty small so it was a perfect little detail. Now everything makes sense. The little golden rings in her braids and the colour of her hair are now the introduction to a design that carries all the way down to her heels.
Especially in this lighting I honestly think that Jordan looks amazing. One of the best looking characters I've ever rendered out. And she's now a great contrast with the pink-clad, sultry Tatiana. Time to get to work on the two of them together :D
