Sci-fi movie set?!? (Patreon)

This time on the range we had a chance to play with some cool toys :)
Besides the high speed camera and special focused light we also had something that seems like it was taken out of a sci-fi movie.
We had an acoustic levitation device. Yes, it levitates objects by sound :O
Essentially it's and array of small speakers that can work at a certain frequency and are positioned so the soundwaves create a certain wave pattern.
This makes it possible to levitate small light objects at specific areas of that wave.
In our case we were able to levitate a small water droplet with some red dye for better visibility. The droplet is only around 4 millimeters in size.

We then positioned the high speed camera and i had to hit the droplet with a .22lr rifle from 4 meters with iron sights. It wasn't easy but the result was amazing.
