Content

One of our larger goals for Club PA this year is to give our Club PA members more of a voice as to what shows and content we produce for our members. We couldn't produce any of it without your support, and while we can't fulfill every request, we can do our best.

One of the first things we're doing is giving Club PA a choice as to what our next TTRPG one-shot is going to be. We've pulled sixteen game systems from our recent survey and seeded them into a tournament,. Starting later today, a series of polls will open up for Club PA members, asking you to vote for the system you'd like to see us run next.

A couple of quick notes before the bracket is posted, and before a brief summary of each game system. While this tournament will guarantee that we'll run a one-shot of the winning system, it does not mean that we'll never run any of the games that don't win. We also may choose to run more than one game in the winning system, depending on the community's reception to the game. The participants in the game have not been determined, either, and will likely depend on which system wins.

With that said: Here's the bracket!

Here's a description of the systems:

Shadowrun - a science fantasy game set in a near-future fictional universe in which cybernetics, magic and fantasy creatures co-exist. We'll likely use fifth edition rules.

Deadlands: Reloaded - a genre-mixing, alternate-history game which combines the Western and horror genres.

Burning Wheel - a genre agnostic system built on a dice pool system and an extensive character generation system

Fiasco - A GM-less game of powerful ambition and poor impulse control, inspired by movies like Fargo, Burn After Reading and Blood Simple.

Blades in the Dark - a game about a crew of daring scoundrels seeking their fortunes on the haunted streets of an industrial-fantasy city.

Kids on Bikes - a collaborative world building game set in small towns with big mysteries.

Paranoia - a more competitive, tongue-in-cheek game set in a dystopian, science fiction world

Mechwarrior - a game set in the Battletech universe

Star Wars - using any of these Fantasy Flight systems: Age of Rebellion, Force and Destiny and Edge of the Empire

Marvel Super Heroes - using the classic Marvel Super Heroes system from the eighties

Monster of the Week - a Powered by the Apocalypse game inspired by shows like the X-Files, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Supernatural

Lasers & Feelings - a quickplay game based on songs by the doubleclicks

Call of Cthulu - a game of Lovecraftian horror, utilizing the newest edition of the game

Star Trek Adventures - a game where players crew a starship in the Star Trek universe

Alien - A game set in the setting of the Alien movies, using a similar ruleset to Tales From the Loop

Warhammer Fantasy Roleplaying - a game set in the Warhammer Fantasy setting

Star Trek would be amazing. I'm mad that you put it up against Call of Cthulu in the first bracket!
