I am curious how much that $750 rental place would cost these days.

Add "You ever catch a crawdad?" to Jerry's "Beyond Belief" reel.

All the conversations about being on the spectrum makes me happy. It's nice to feel connected to people that went through it too.

Jonathan Bates

I too now crave to attend a good crawdad boil. We do clam and blueclaw crab here, and while I initially was not a fan of clams when I first met my wife, I've realized the error of my ways and now will eat them right alongside the rest of the family.

These are enjoyable to listen to and seem an easy source of content, so please keep it going. :)

I'd pay membership just for this . 4th Panel was one of my absolute favorite parts of PATV and this is the content I crave.

One thing I will personally say about the 'going to real places to do real things' situation is that the whole "drive an hour and a half through traffic" part is 100% something people do to themselves. That's not ever necessary, and is purely a consequence of living in an oversized city too far from the actual things that matter in your situation. There's definitely a lot of times where physical presence isn't necessary or helpful, but I'd argue your perception of what is and isn't helpful is heavily skewed by how bad your Point A to Point B distance situation is.

I joined up because I really missed the podcasts. I agree with Ryan up there, the 4th panel PATVs were great. But I do miss the shenanigans episodes of the series. I hope that they do a Penny for Your Thoughts on their office Nerf rules comic. I was recently reminded of it and I can picture Mike and Jerry really saying those lines.

I've read "Claw Shrimp!" so many times and only just now did I notice the typo in the 6th panel!

I worked from home before the pandemic so transitioning wasn't a thing. I was already here. The difference was my wife didn't have to commute for hours any more and I didn't have to convince clients that there was no reason to drive hours to meet for 30 minutes face-to-face to discuss something that could have easily been discussed on Slack or on a call. I'm dreading the return to the "old ways" mainly because people don't seem to realize the time "savings" they feel they're getting from being in the same room is squandered on the time required to get there. In the end, it's just about acceptance. Once you do, you realize there ARE some things that are better face-to-face but not everything requires that presence...unless it's simply because a boss doesn't trust their employees enough to let them work remotely.
