The final poll with these 8 entries will open up in a couple of hours so get ready!
But for now let's dissect the current results (as you can see in the 4 images above). The entries are ordered based on their total vote power on the left side. On the right side of the table you can see how the ranking for the simple 1:1 votes changed up or down for each entry.
The voting power is accounted by multiplying the basic vote of each supporter by their tier power during this month. For instance a vote from a Heroic Darling counts as 4 times their single vote. This is all calculated and accounted for (plus any special bonuses that an entry might have, such as from the Mystic Knight tier) to finally reach the total voting power of each entry.
But this time around it is quite curious to note that groups B, C and D didn't have alterations between their ranking at all! So the 1:1 poll rankings were reflected in the voting power, although you can still see that even when the vote power doesn't change the rankings they still account for a noticeable increase or decrease of the actual distance between the entries.
Group A was more chaotic and there was a lot of shuffling around, but the top 3 and bottom 3 remained consistent somehow; a lot of high tier supporters threw their weight on the most voted entries and combined with the majority of Happy Luffy tier they solidified their preferred entries.
It is interesting to see the orchestrated chaos that each person's voting strategy causes: some people vote only on a single entry while others vote on many entries at the same time and spread their power around. Some people also vote on all but one entry to try and leave their least favorite entry behind. It is a fun cacophony to witness.
Oh and it is worth to note that just because your favorite entry didn't make the top 2 means that it was a bad one: in fact if you look at the 3rd, 4th places and so on there were a lot of votes for them, and even some last placings have some entries that I'm personally a fan of as well. It can be quite unpredictable to determine how a group of people will vote so don't take the rankings as a measure of quality or appeal of your favorite entry.
But enough of that. It is time for the final showdown!
If you have any comments, celebration, sportsman-like conceding (hehe) or feedback relating to the polls please feel free to comment! It is an imperfect system after all and for every poll that I've run for MKM I've been trying to make it better or more clear, so your input is much appreciated.
Best Regards,
Mega
