I'm happy to say that the new stage is completed! But to be honest I'm unsure how it will be received because I may have gone a bit over-the-top with it.

I don't want to spoil the twist because then it would be ruined, but the gist is that this entire area of the castle is locked and to progress into the top floor (where the entrance to the boss arena is located) Maya will have to open those 4 gates that you can see above, by activating their respective switches.

One of the key elements of the stage is the mirror in the 2nd image that when Maya interacts with it, well... stuff happens. Trust me, you'll understand then why I named the stage like that.

Funny story: this gimmick actually came about as a bug during the early stages of the game's development. When playing around to fix the bug, I sorta grew fond of it and made a note to in the future create a stage around this theme. That future is now the present hehe.

Which brings me back to my 1st sentence: I kinda went nuts with this gimmick since I was able to finally work on it, but in the process I may have made this stage very difficult. To the extent that I almost wanted to release it now so that people could play-test it and give me feedback if the stage became too obnoxious. But I decided to hold back and make a release as usual with the new enemies.

Speaking of which, I've read everyone's suggestions in the previous post and I decided to go with face-sitting preceding the vore, since it flows more naturally into that scene. And then, an additional scene with the centaur girl hugging Maya (who is upside-down) and eating her out. The 3rd image is a reference (credits to its original creator: MCRC) that the patron sent me to base her visual design on. She wont have horns and won't look exactly like that of course, but it's a good overall baseline to work around.

And then for the other enemy the main scene will be foot-fetish related (the game doesn't have one yet omg!) with hopefully a variant scene as well. I want to have all of these done and make a release closer to the end of the month as usual.

A stage you went over the top with? Ooh, you've got me very intrigued now. I hope that means you had a lot of fun with it too. So for the centauress, will it be similar to the reference in terms of apparel? Like with the armor, cause I could definitely see it fitting with the tower theme.

I'd love it if you could add all the abilities to the cheat menu to make play testing easier, I ask because for some reason my saves keep getting corrupted (has something to do with my computer not the game) and having to replay everything each time is getting tedious, I really love your game ❤, and I really don't want to get burnt out

I saw that centaur and I thought "huh... Why does this look familiar to me?" And I just realised when Steam popped up with a notification for a friend playing Dota 2! THAT'S CENTAUR WARRUNNER from Dota 2! >:U I KNEW it looked familiar!

Level sounds interesting, looking forward to it. Glitches are always interesting to see in games, so I'd like to see how one became a mechanic To be a greedy git, I want to again express my hope for some weight gain on the centaur vore section, a little more plushness on a pred is always nice to see

Yes I've had fun making it and this is exactly why I'm worried lol Right so her armor was something that we had to make a decision. We could go with her having full plate armor, but then all that gear would get in the way of the vore scene. She could be "tribal" and be fully natural/naked or something in the middle ground. We decided to go with some pieces of gear like in the reference, and as you mentioned it could work for the tower, but given the tone I wanted to set in this new level, I may place the centaur girl in a different level like the hills or the forest.

Hmm doesn't seem like a bad idea actually since we are in the alpha stage of development, so debugging is important. I'll add it for the next release.

You've got it! Nice to see another dota player here hehehe Indeed she's a gender-bend/rule63 of Centaur Warrunner and right there I think she's about to scream casting the ultimate, blink and stomp some poor support in the jungle.

Centaur are always fun preds, herbivores always are. The bulge being beneath the horse half can make for a nice shape, and being so far down from the human half gives the impression of being d e e p inside. Looking forward to what you come up with :)

Yeah, I can understand that. I for one do enjoy seeing the results of vore scenes that aren't covered up. I guess if she was wearing a lot of armor, it could be like the dwarf girl scene where her clothes get ripped as the scene progresses, but instead it's armor breaking off. Oh, that reminds me, a question about your process with vore scenes. Is it usually your call if the enemy has a...let's say "post-vore state"? Like with the dwarf girl, wolf girl, or the alraune boss. Cause I know there's some enemies that digest Maya, and then proceed like nothing happened. So I was wondering if stuff like that was your choice, the patron's choice, or some other reason.

Unless the patron specifically mentions an after-vore scene (that is not overly complex and fits within my limits and tastes), then it defaults to being my own vision for it. And when it comes to my decisions I don't really have a set path either way for MKM; I just go with my gut feelings for the specific scene at the time, most of the time doing it subconsciously, which effectively makes it random. Now from a game design perspective it sure would be best to have a clear pattern for these kinds of things, but since I'm not making a dedicated vore game (which indeed would benefit from having set expectations for types of vore and what happens afterwards) I'm okay with the results being random, whether they are a patron's suggestion or my own implementation.

Funny that you mention the bulge, because that's a point that I had to clarify with the patron who suggested her. There are depictions of centaur vore with either the beast torso or human torso having the prey's bulging (usually both), so I asked them what their preference were and indeed it will be in the beast torso, so yeah I hope that Maya will fell pretty cozy in there.
