Rules Regarding Custom Character Polls (Patreon)

During the development of Mystic Knight Maya I try to organize polls every month that allows the supporters to vote on different character ideas and the winning entry of each poll will be materialized as a new custom enemy in the game. This post will detail the rules that govern this process.

SECTION A - How to Put Forward a Character Idea

Every month I will make a post announcing that I'm gathering entries for the month's poll (this gathering period lasts for about a week or two). 

1) During this period, patrons of Heroic Darling tier who wish to participate in the poll can send to me a description of the idea that they have in mind. 

2) Those ideas must describe the type of character that will interact with Maya (male humanoid, monster girl, etc) and a short description of how this interaction plays out (vanilla sex, anal, blowjob, lesbian sex, groping, tentacle sex, etc). 

3) The general idea must fit within the range of fetishes listed in this page as these are more or less my particular preferences. That list is not exhaustive tough; if a certain kink you like is not listed there, we can discuss about it and if it's something that I'm comfortable working with then it's OK.

4) Finally, after we discuss and sort out all the details of your suggestion it will be made into an entry for the month's poll. 

 SECTION B - Voting on the Polls and Calculating the Results

Once the gathering period ends, a poll will be posted containing all of the suggested ideas. Everyone can cast their votes on the entry (or entries) of their choice and at the end of that period the winner will be decided. 

1) When the poll ends, the winner will be decided by calculating which entry got the highest total voting power. In the case of a tie, all tied entries will be added into the game.

2) Each patreon tier has an amount of voting power that overrides their normal vote. For instance, the single vote of a Heroic Darling supporter counts as 4 voting power for the sake of calculating the winner.

3) After the total voting power of each entry is calculated, a flat bonus value will be added on top (when applicable) resulting in the final total value. A list containing the current bonuses are always displayed in the posts related to the poll of that month.

 SECTION C - Special Bonuses

The entries that participate in the polls are categorized into "tags" (fetishes listed on this page) and all entries that don't win are helping to accumulate a bonus for their respective tag. The intention of this mechanic is to promote the rotation of different fetishes that win on these polls by giving an increasing bonus to the less voted ones. 

1) The current bonus value is tripled for all fetishes that participated in the poll but didn't win. 

2) If a participating fetish didn't have any bonus value previously then it starts at 8.

3) If the winning fetish had any amount of bonus, that bonus gets wiped back to zero.

4) There's a small exception for the tag of the runner-up (2nd place): if its number of normal votes is over 80% of the normal votes of the 1st place (meaning that while it lost it still was a very popular tag), then it accumulates only half of the bonus (so its current bonus gets multiplied by 1.5 with any decimals rounded down). Otherwise the bonus for the 2nd place is tripled as normal.

5) Fetishes that have some bonus accumulated but weren't represented by any entries in the current poll simply carry over their bonus for subsequent polls.
