The first custom character is now in the game!

The plant girl tied for 1st place the in last poll and since she fit better for the forest theme, I've decided to work on her first. Her erotic animation is based on the soft vore fetish, and I'm sure the vore fans will enjoy it.

I will revisit the animation in the future tough when I commission a voice actress for Maya. I will then add all the good stuff like moans and muffled sounds.

Kinda crazy, but this one ended up with 69 frames of animation and is basically the longest single pixel animation I've ever done!

Even then, the funny thing is that the ero animation itself only took about 25% of the time I've spent working on this update. The bulk of the work was actually spent creating the boss fight itself and all that it entails programmatically. I've detailed it a bit more on the changelog file.

The good news is: now that the necessary framework is already in place for not only the boss fights, but also for cut-scenes and events that I will add in the game, work on those things will proceed faster the next time around.

Let me know if the fight is too easy or too hard. The end point of this update is when you defeat the boss, which in turn makes the DASH skill appear.

For the next update we will visit a new part of the beach stage accessible only by using the dash. In that new stage, we will encounter the new enemy (being voted on right now!) and the beach boss.

That's more or less it for now. The download link is bellow, and the text file with the changelog for this version is attached in this post.

Cheers!

Game is great. slashing feels good. jumping and slashing could be a little more useful like in SOTN. Anyways The potions don't seem to work, and saves don't heal you so all damage I got was permanent. Also can we get a mp3 of the game over music. I am a sucker for those somber game over themes.

Bold of you to assume a vore fan like me would enjoy this scene. ...just playing, I did really love the boss scene though, and all the other little features added into it as well. I'm a sucker for any good vore scene in a game, which usually hook, line, and sinkers me into playing the whole game. Might be a bit of a shallow mindset, but hey, if a game is good then win/win. Though I was backing this game up before I knew it would have a great scene like this one. Anyway great boss, and I can't wait to see how the rest of the game will turn out.

Okay, should have mentioned that I didn't beat the boss yet at the time of my last comment, but now I am in the post boss defeat phase, and now I shall spout some opinions. But first, in case anyone doesn't want to know what the boss does, BOSS FIGHT SPOILERS INCOMING. Ok? Ok. Overall, it was a pretty good boss fight, though some nitpicks arose. It might be because I was too hasty, but a little under half the time, when I jumped over the two-way descending vines, I would get hit by the spores cause they go in random directions. Either more vertically, or more diagonally. The latter which hit me more often. That one's more of a personal complaint due to my aforementioned haste. I would say if the spores, when they get sent out of the boss, go in a vertical direction, it would fix my problem I have with them. Though I realize that it might be like that cause that affects where they come down from, so I'd understand if it can't really be changed. The other nitpick is the flower enemies that the boss spawns. When she sends out only one at a time, they're pretty trivial nuisances. But when she sends two, they can get tiresome to deal with. One because they have the same health as the regular flower enemies, so it take a little bit to defeat them while you have vines and spores pelting you at the same time. And two because sometimes when you're attacking them, the boss sends another seed to spawn a flower right where you're standing, usually ending up with me getting hurt. I'd suggest maybe giving the flowers a different color and slightly less health. Not sure how to fix the boss sending flowers under your feet, but if the first suggestion were to happen, I would probably not be where she sends the flower, so that might kill two birds with one stone there. Other than those two things, I thought the boss fight was pretty balanced. I beat her twice, once with debug health, and the other without. I think if the suggestions were to be implemented, fighting her without debug options will be a bit easier to pull off.

True, I'll get potions working for the next update and save points won't heal because I want to implement other ways upon which the players can heal themselves. For now please use the F5 debug key to heal.

All looks good- but found a minor bug. The flowers don't seem to grab for sex unless you're completely KO'd.

MegaBlueBall

Thank you for the heads-up! I've just confirmed this bug, and it's a due to me changing the grabbing logic to accommodate for the new boss grab.
