'Body Rhythm' was such a fun song; it works so well with SHINee.

Body rhythm was on the Don't call me album from 2021.

Ofra Cohen

The Don't call me album (and repackaged album Atlantis) is an album where almost every song could have easily been a title track.

Olajuwon

Please react to Lucifer album from shinee :)

SHINee has a song called Chemistry that I think you'll really enjoy. we only have live versions with the 3 members, unfortunately, but we have a VCR version with Onew from their Beyond live concert in 2021 that's really good. It, unfortunately, get's blocked on YouTube (and SM never officially released it...) but I'll link you the video with English subs. https://mega.nz/file/RmxACRiT#Ejh0iCE-domkt1aIPMTXM43_FO5O4Hr4L_jj_7IKREA

The Chemistry VCR is soooo good. I would def suggest watching it for a Patreon exclusive video.

10:36 You're totally right. One of their styling motifs during the HARD era promotional stages was basically "slutty secret agents." 😂😂😂 They were all dressed like government spies or bodyguards but a little bit sexy. I actually loved the styling so much cuz it was soooo unapologetic. Y'all should check out the JUICE - SHINee Music Bank 230630 performance where Taemin wore a crop-top bullet proof vest, Key wore a crop-top business suit jacket, and Minho was in a bondage-core rappelling harness. Actually, several of Minho's costumes during HARD era were bondage-core. I think the spy aesthetic they had during stages was leaning into the Game Maker personas from the HARD album jacket. One version of their HARD album promo & mood sampler was that they were all soloists with their own unique style, reuniting and putting back on their SHINee color/persona/style. This was portrayed by showing them stuck in a jungle maze trying to find each other at the center. They start off styled in their soloist looks/clothes and when they find each other in the center on the maze, they change clothes to their SHINee Uniform as a cohesive group. The maze itself is then revealed to be a game-board and the boys are simultaneously the game makers/architects moving the pieces around the maze/board while ALSO being the pieces themselves. The box version of the HARD album was an actual maze playing board with pieces representing each member. The promotions during this era, since it was their 15th anniversary, were a lot of fun. It was too bad Onew couldn't join in on a lot of it but you're absolutely right. His health comes first.

Taemin just did a performance on the KGMA awards show and... just.. wow...https://youtu.be/oyJJuM0Ye3A?si=ZCZUsemDmfPp-Gq2 (He also won 3 awards, the most awards by a single artist in this awards show. He won for Best Artist, Best Solo Artist and Best fan choice, with oover 61% of the votes...)

incredible performance.. definitely recommend you guys watch this!

Beatriz Nalon

talking about dont call me album. you should totally check "code", "heart attack" and "marry you" live

The reason why I enjoy watching your reaction is because I love how you guys are being honest about your opinion especially in the first reaction. I am not sure how does it work technically, but as someone who love to watch all SHINee's full concert as a group and solos, out of all songs they sung, they do have one or two songs that rely more on the studio version. This also happens to other SM idols' concert. I think it has something to do with keeping up their energy and let them "rest" a bit after a series of hard songs and before getting ready for another sets of challanging songs (after all we dont want any possible damage on them for the long run as it is almost 3 hours concert with lots of stop) Because as we know, most of SHINee's songs as a group or solos are challanging both vocally and perfomance wise (you never see them slacking). It's rare even to see decent cover of their songs at how challanging it is to give the similiar energy as SHINee. For more context, the SHINee VI concert is their first concert after like 6 years I think?. Even onew had a hard time managing his breath during the talking session after singing some songs non stop on his first day comeback after hiatus for their 3 days encore concert in Korea at how intense it was. Moreover, they also had crazy schedule where they worked on both group and solo schedules in between (they even had solo concert and fan concert in between their group concerts tour in Japan and Asia). Not sure how they managed to do all that. It's SHINee after all I cant wait to see your reaction for dont call me album (its their first album after ominkey military hiatus). I love all their group and solo albums. If it is not too much to ask, it would be nice if you could also react to their full concert. Its so fun!, and even if they sing the same old songs, they always rearrange the songs either in music wise or perfomance wise (so there is always something new to see) :D

We are super glad you enjoy our honesty and genuineness. Being totally transparent and honest with all of our fellow passionate viewers is super important to both of us. It also makes the reactions way more interesting, since we are both music nerds who love reviewing, giving commentary and engaging with everyone else. Regarding the strategy of letting certain songs be studio versions could totally make sense considering K-pop concerts can be super demanding on a person's stamina. it's better playing it safe than ending up damaging your vocals. We are both very excited for the Don't Call Me album. (Minho's latest album is honestly really underrated btw)

ValenandTheo

Great idea we definitely will, but tbh we really want to listen to the album versions first (it's album reaction and review coming mega soon)

Thats right, I knowww I love all of minho's songs. He has this chill and deep type of voice. He has shown great evolvement of his voice and genre in his recent album. It would be nice if you could check their solo albums as well in the future (I saw taemin one in patreon). Each member has their own styles and uniqueness, almost all of them went straight to my playlist 😅. And the fun thing is there is always small connection between them like they want to always remind us that they are from one group. Its basically an active group with 5 soloist. I think they are the only group where all members have their own full album and concerts They have soooo many things to check out (take your time). My favorite one is music related shows that focus on their vocals like killing voice (taemin), lee mujin service (taemin, key), the season (all of them but as solo singer), yu hui yeol's sketchbook (group, taemin, jonghyun, key) and variety shows and group live streaming, they are basically 5 funny guys which coincidently hard working and talented. I cant wait for your future reaction of both SHINee group and solo contents, and hope you enjoy the process!

Lawol

Great list! I'd also add Sea of Hope and Song Stealer for Onew. Monthly Live Connection for Jonghyun, and not really a show but Picnic Live showcase, and his radio performances and guerrilla concerts were always amazing. Can't wait for SHINee killing voice...

min

can you do taemin kgma live stage plzz 🙏🏻 this was totally insane !! https://youtu.be/bV7eDgBVYoQ?si=HGCLbjDuQpTFTMaR

Diamante

Originally yes there's no "main vocals" at that time. ppl still debate whether onew is lead or main originally but I still think he was the lead judging by line distribution not to mention the members are JUST catching up with Jonghyun (almost) after 6? albums (full, mini, repack) Doesnt matter if the 3 are not "main". They can have any position they want.

S Kapdi

Looking foward to it. It's a more chill album, but they needed it after the grieving after Jonghyun's passing and doubting whether they would still have as strong as fan base after Key, Minho, and Onew's military hiatus. You should see their interview before the Don't Call Me album dropped. Cals called What makes Shinee scared? https://youtu.be/b2qy-sfu4sU?si=D94XBRW2pKu7uBSp

Lawol

Yeah OT5 era and especially at the beginning Jonghyun was the only main vocalist imo (he heavily carried the first few albums). Right now I'd say Onew is the main vocal while everyone else is lead.

hyun tanchoi

i came here to request this performance and yet i can see many other people here already made the same request😂

Eden

can you do why so serious live performance? it’s one of my favorite https://youtu.be/Io5MXNwioT4?si=rXibd_j3oK12DhyT and thank you so much for doing shinee reactions as always
