Thanks for the shout out, the SHINee performance translations are a passion project of my friend and I. SHINee are Big with the guys, and they've always been big supporters of the community, even before it was considered acceptable in kpop.

The Like it performance was from the concerts before Onew came back from health hiatus, unfortunately they didn't perform it after he came back so we don't have a version with all 4...

They never really told us why Onew needed the health hiatus (and they don't need to tell us anything), but after coming back Onew mentioned that he had to have neck surgery while he was away.

they did perform it though? but all the uploads of it got sniped - on youtube at least :( which sucks, because jinki is so cute during like it, he looks like he's having so much fun!

You had me dying when you were talking about how 'the gays love theatre' 😂 But yes, SHINee do have quite a large LGBTQ+ fanbase (hi!), and when Identity came out, whooooo, that became our ANTHEM. It was my instant fave when the album came out anyway, because I love when SHINee songs have that funk-pop vibe. They do it so well! Those lyrics really hit different though. And yes, Identity did the rounds during Seoul Pride when it dropped, and became an unofficial official Pride Song, but a few of SHINee's songs, and Key's solo songs usually get played every year actually 💕

SHINee World

In Identity's performance, the white gold clothes are similar~ In fact, they made this set of white gold clothes because they performed at the Tokyo Dome again after a long time in February this year, and the clothes are for the opening section. It was also a tribute to the first time they performed at the Tokyo Dome; back then it was also the opening section clothes (clothes in the SHINee World VI-Picasso performance you've seen before), so you can see it's actually very similar~~

i honestly need to say that your surprise that onew wasn't in the last performance right at the end of it made me remember about how some people talked trash about shinee going on concerts while he was on hiatus. they said "it'll be terrible, no lead vocal" and all of that but the three of them were AMAZING. of course onew is very much needed and loved by all of us and one of the best voices out there but he needed to take care of himself and i'm sure he wanted the group to do the concerts and the promotions. Seeing the three of them thriving when also doing the parts of their two primary vocalists easily shows how strong of a group they are and how talented they are

I mean Shinee has been very inclusive, and Im pretty sure no shawol would be mad to be included in what’s called “a gay audience” my closest shawol friend and myself, are queer lmao
