I think most people seem to think ZP is something I should be more obligated to work on and update for th public because it's one of the projects I have listed on here? I never really listed it as one of the main funded projects, so much as just listing it as one of the projects I have going on. Most people who find me would maybe recognize me from the comic, and when I do work on the comic, I post about it here. But just because it is one of the many things I am working on, doesn't mean it is my MAIN job and obligation and I should drop everything to work on it. Not only would the quality be bad if I forced myself to work on it, but I would also not be posting NEARLY as much as to be worth it for my current backers.

I know the people backing me understand that my patreon is not just for zp, in fact it's been much more centered around my films, other series concepts, and art in general, other then my webcomic. Because I have unfortunately lost connection with my webcomic for the time being. The only way to treat ZP as it's own funded obligation/job would be to set up a separate patreon explicitly for it, because my current patreon is just for ALL my projects, so as long as I'm producing, it is giving backers something to consume!

I don't understand where the "ZP is your Job, go do it" mindset came from, but it doesn't make me want to return to the comic any sooner. I also don't get why it comes from people who aren't patrons. :c

Don't take it so bad Vivz, It's just that there are a lot of people (including me as well) that started following your artwork because of Zoophobia and since then, we've been waiting so long to see any new updates about it, cuz' I think that a lot of people would agree with me when I say that ZP is one of your best creations and we really want to know what's next bout' it; but I'm also sure that people are willing to keep waiting for new ZP updates whenever you feel ready to do it, we'll keep waiting as much time as it take...👍👍👍

Clockwork wolf

I get it. I've been writing the same book since January but my work and college and army obligations are all interfering and slowing me down. If I try to work on it during my free time when I'm exhausted, I get the feeling every word I'm writing is forced and that it doesn't mean anything to me.

Anonymous

Not really surprised. Most ignorant peeps see content creators as robots/lifeless beings. The best thing I can recommend is just to try 'n' ignore these people the best way you can! c:

Anonymous

My advice is to ignore them. I would bet most dont understand what you are going through, or what being a freelance artist means. Forced works never seen to be as good as non forced works, we all know that, so just take your time!

To be honest, many of us pledged to your Patreon specifically to support Zoophobia. While I understand the comic's production is going through issues, it's important to do your best to keep those fans engaged, so they don't feel abandoned. So I suggest doing little side things to help interact with them while you work things out in your own time, as a show of appreciation for their continued support. Occasional doodles of some of the ZP characters, for example. (when was the last time you drew Zechariah??) Or maybe some new ZP-themed items for your RedBubble store. Little things like that. Maybe casually playing around with your characters like that for a while without having to directly focus on the stress of the comic's production itself could even go a little ways helping you get back in touch with your story. That's my thoughts on the issue, anyway.

I'm here supporting you because you deserve to be supported. Your art, your appreciation to detail, your work ethic, and your overall personality all deserve to be supported in any way. I think, for most of us, Zoophobia was where we were first introduced to you, but are here on this Patreon for your art and your films. I want you to succeed so bad, because I hate to see such talented artists and animators go to waste because of no support. My suggestion to you, do what makes you happy. Don't worry about anything. If Zoophobia doesn't make you happy, then go to the next project. Write something, draw something, as long as it makes you happy. Keep going, keep your head up, because you have supporters here who feel the same way. The perks are just perks. Even if you didn't have any perks, I'd still be supporting you here, and I mean that. Don't feel obligated by anything. The best quote I have ever been given is "Be Bold. Live Brave. Say Yes." That means to stand up for yourself, don't be afraid of others, and say yes to the things that you want to say yes to, not because you have to. Keep your head held high, Vivienne.

The only way I feel like I can contribute is to say that I really enjoyed following ZP. I liked your unique and improving art style, your growing story skills, all the neat and interesting characters. ZP had me hooked. It was through ZP that I discovered your animation, other stories and your art books. And to see it gradually recede and disappear has me mildly disappointed. I really hope some time away from Zoophobia will be good for you and I'm always looking forward to your animations, but I still secretly hope you'll pick ZP back up again. That said, do what makes you happy. Life's too short not to. :)

Anonymous

Awe I'm sorry. Sure slot of us would love to see more but it will come when it's ready not a moment sooner. But that being said I can't wait to see what you next endeavor is and so long as I have a job you have my support hehe.

VivienneMedrano

I plan on continuing ZP! I guess my thing is though, my reasons for losing connection are tied with the pressure and attitude people give me towards it. The best way to get ZP back is to just be respectful of my feelings on it. I am really happy you enjoy it

VivienneMedrano

I suppose that is a good point. I guess at this point in time I was sure most patrons were understanding of the content they were getting. I took off "Zoophobia" in my patreon's title quite a time ago as the list of content grew. I had hoped most people pledging would understand that working on the amount of projects I was would give a wide range of works, not to mention a lot of my new veiwership came from animations and youtube, not the comic. I don't consider this patreon campaign centered around ZP at all. That said, I do still try to post art relating to the characters as often as I can. If that is something a number of you explicitly want over whatever else i'm working on, I can certainly make more of an effort to at least do new artwork relating to ZP characters for you guys explicitly. I can also try to update redbubble more!

Vikis The Snarky

As a talented artist time is precious. I would much rather have the comic come out from a place of passion then rushed and a joyless obligation. I enjoy the comic and adore Damian. But I am happy to wait tell the time is right for it to happen. Honestly I would suggest rewriting the plot so that the story can be told more efficiently. Cut things so the overall work is more palatable too read and easier to produce. As one of the people who pledge 100$ followed through and is ready to stay with that pledge this month too. I want you too know there is no rush. Work on what is right for you. Take it as slow as you have too. Here to support your work. So what I would ask for is do your best to love your work. Small side note. Love angel always happy to see more of that spider. Husk too.

Figmandor

Well that's the pits >:L These people seem really bossy! I've never been in a position like yours so I won't pretend I get it, but as long as you do what makes you happy and don't let those people take your happiness from you, you're doin' great :3

Dave

I'm honestly not that bothered by what you decide to work on, your creations are interesting and fun to see regardless, sorry people are being jerks.

J

I understand what you are going through, I too have had stressful moments that interupted my devotion to art. Whenever it happenned to me, I took a break a long one if needed and eventually I got back to drawing when I knew the time was right. Any artist can relate to that. I love your work, and I will continue to provide you with my donations through patreon or support you anyway possible. Ignore anyone who was trying to force you to draw up more Zoophobia pages. Those people need to learn the difference between being respectful and being rude to an artist. You have the right to continue the web comic whenever you want, I will gladly a wait for any new pages of the next chapters of book 1 when you decide to continue it. It's one of the fewest web comics I am a fan of. I love the art style, the colorful cast of characters, the friendship, the romance, and the amazing world it takes place in. I can't think of any other web comic I feel so attach to. I respect your desicion to put it on hold, just know that there are reasonable fans of the web comic like myself. So if you need to take a break, take one as long as you like, your health should always come first. When you are back on track, I will look forward to what great projects you have to present to us.

WhiteFang59

I'm a big fan of Zoophobia but I know that a break is needed to keep from getting too overwhelmed. I love your work and I just want to see everything you do on your terms. We can always wait for ZP to come back, but we can't afford to lose you so don't let the random naysayers get you down.

Mappy The Squire

I'm definitely one of those who was introduced to your art through ZP, but you make such a wide variety of awesome stuff that "waiting" doesn't feel like such a wait. Your art, animations, and other stuff is stellar. ZP will come when it comes. You do you, girl.

D. Stuart

I like robots. I enjoy working on and creating robotic things. But artists aren't robots. Good art has to have some of the artist in it. I support you for what I see in your work. If you aren't 'feeling' it. it doesn't work. Please do what you need to enjoy your arts. Then we'll be able to enjoy them as well! Please keep on creating and don't let the trolls get you down. Thanks for creating amazing stuff!

Overton Hallford

I love the ZP but i am very found of your animations. Please keep working on those.

Anonymous

Zoophobia, for me, was just a sort of 'oh, nice!' discovery after I was inspired by your animation work. You should do whatever you're passionate about, Viv, as I'm sure you will! Period, and don't worry about those other folks at all--you have plenty of fans who give you a wide berth!

Anonymous

You have an amazing gift for art, and no one can force you to do anything. You are blessed to be working on such amazing projects, but there is no rush in any of that. Only take things at your own pace.

Anonymous

As much as i want to get my own comics out there too, an artist should feel free to express whatever art he or she desires. it's not fun to just work one project after all, it's best to expand and get fresh ideas meanwhile letting your ZP characters have a break when you wanna do something else. I've been struggling what's my main course of action to get my art out there and it's pretty simple; draw what the heart desire <:>

Anonymous

so as much as I love your comic, I wanna see more from you other than just that. You have really awesome projects going on, so keep up the good work.

Anonymous

Good work takes time, care and passion, so don't force yourself to ALWAYS work in ZP. You have to take break from some project sometimes. If you keep working on project you don't feel in the mood to do (unless we're talking about deadlines and stuff), the quality will drop, even with all the time and money in the world.

Anonymous

So I think you're doing good by not giving into the demands :) People should be happy that you still work on it

Anonymous

I haven't been able to subscribe to you because of my financial status but you should never be swayed to only work on what the masses want. You work on anything you feel fit and I will soon subscribe when money is more available. Please keep up the great artwork and films. I really enjoy your style of art.

Anonymous

Vivienne i am like a huge fan of yours you are amazing i love your art and every thing about u so plz check out my page on here cause i joined only last month well last year in december but plz do so

Anonymous

Heck, I saw your "Die Young" video before I ever heard of ZP. You do you :D

Anonymous

You should put Jayjay from your "die young" video in your rebooted zoophobia.😅

Anonymous

What happens when you get 4000$?

Anonymous

I support you on your decision ma'am, i hope it goes well

Anonymous

you don't have to, If your feeling uncomfortable then work on something, I'm perfectly fine with what you di

GlitchedgarbageAD

I’m sorry for pushing that much pressure onto you, I’m just a huge fan that seeing an animated short of it that well done I just had to see more....please forgive me vizie?

Anonymous

I know my comment won't mean a lot right now, especially since you're so busy- but I've been learning a lot from you. It's so inspiring on how you step up and be in charge after losing that type of control. People who tell you what to do or what you should be working on now isn't their right, you've shown how far you can get with that

Anonymous

Maybe soon they can learn all the things you've been working on at the same time. That is some major multitasking. I absolutely love how you show that your schedule doesn't have time for their silly comments. As a young artist I can relate!:)

Anonymous

Do what you want Vivz! Life is short , live it !!

Anonymous

Well, i just have to say Viz, fans are fans, animations are animations, people love you! Even though at most, it isn't right to force anyone into anything, i only ( Try ) To make animations for fun! ( Even though you do that for a living XD ) But yeah! I wouldn't mind a few things here and there about people wanting the animation series done with! If you ask me, i think it's because Zoophobia is legit your only series that is cool for 10-15 year old's to be able to watch it without major violence scenes and cussing 24/7.............. I'm not saying anything bad like, to change anything or anything like that!

Anonymous

Yes guys, as much as you love Zoophobia, i don't think you should force anyone into making animations, i'm not saying it's everybody doing it, i haven't seen Viz's videos since Helluva boss E2 S1, if she didn't add anything more, just let it rest! I think HB was more funnier and ( Darker, yes, wayyyyyyy darker ) More meaning to it then Zoophobia ( Don't get mad at me ZP lovers, i'm not saying that i hate ZP! Not at all! I enjoyed it actually! ) Because i see the plot, and a see a whoooole lot of Loona fans who are really really loving HB, but her main goal is to work on Hazbin Hotel, which i understand! So animate awayyyyyy Viz! And have a good one too! Hope your surviving well haha! Wish you best and most kind emotion!

Anonymous

Wow, i meant to add more but i have to get used to the Shift + Enter thing.

Asshole is what they are

Michael Laws

I like ZP but im always looking forward to ur next projects and stuff. Cant wait to see what comes next. Love ur work.

Michael Laws

Just pls remember that it takes time for things to happen and to not pull ur patronage if something doesnt happen right away.
