Characters: Maria Mordecai, Human Hell Knight; and her Patron, Ascai

Maria Mordecai grew up very poor, her life filled with despair and trauma. When she was eight years old her mother sold her to a rich family from which she ran away. She grew up homeless, poor, and alone in the Asmodean-ruled country called Lorveignia.

Eventually, Maria developed an infection in her eye and was denied the promise of healing from a healer, so she lost her eye. In this, her darkest moment, she was greeted by her mistress, a powerful devil named Ascai. Armed with Ascai’s dark blessing she killed her mother and those who mistreated her, changed her name to Mordecai and began her crusade to eventually free the country of Lorveiginia from Asmodeus’ grasp so no child must ever endure what she had to.

In her quest, she founded and lead her own order of Hell Knights called “The Steel Maidens” and gained the trust of the empress of Lorveignia. Through many circumstances, she found herself acting as a safe vessel for Ascai who had to flee and being field marshal in the Lorveignian army. Armed with ancient knowledge, she sought out six artifacts to perform "The Godmaking", an ancient ritual that would enable her to become a god and unite the entire world under an absolute rule where no one had to suffer like she did.
