The 8 Wizardly Colleges of the Aeful Academy

The Aeful Academy is a magic focal point located on the island of Aeful. Young persons of potent unrealized magical energy are recruited by the Aeful Shi-Sharur. They are then enrolled in a 60-credit program to ensure that they can perform magic regulated by the alumni council. Once graduated, a mage will often be granted a single limited wish and sent off to a continent to work for or against the governing body.

The academy is comprised of eight colleges that hybridize two of schools of magic each. To simplify, Clairlewn studies conjuration and geomancy, Damoxus studies biomancy and transmutation, Gleevoru studies bards and illusion, Jepophorus studies martial arts and evocation, Newmedes studies mathematics and abjuration, Ponderix studies divination and history, Temprotese studies enchantment and psionic, and lastly Trollibara studies artifice.

About 500 new students join the academy each year, and at least 20% of graduating the class dies annually, though this fact is not often advertised.
