Kaleidoscopic Lenses

Wondrous Item, Uncommon

Crafted by a legendary drag queen who sought freedom from a singular appearance, these lenses allow anyone to transform the color and the features of their eyes.

You can use your action to place the lenses directly on the surface of your eyes. Thereafter, the lenses can’t be removed unless you detach them as an action. Not even an antimagic field causes them to fall off.

Kaleidoscopic Lenses typically come in pairs, but single lens also exist. If one lens in a pair is destroyed, the other continues to function. If you have more than two eyes, you can use additional Kaleidoscopic Lenses with no penalties.

Infinite Eyes.  While wearing these lenses, you can use a bonus action to change the color of one or both your eyes, as well as any ocular features, including the shape and the size of your pupil and iris. If you have more than two eyes, you can change as many of your eyes as you wish, choosing the same or different appearance for any of them.

You can choose a different appearance for each eye with the same bonus action, and you can use another bonus action to return some or all of your eyes to their normal appearance.

Realness. Unless you purposefully wear the Kaleidoscopic Lenses so their nature is obvious, eyes changed by the Kaleidoscopic Lenses are indistinguishable from real eyes. Only a wish spell can reveal the lenses’ true nature. The lenses envelop whoever wears them in a faint aura of transmutation magic if targeted by detect magic.

Makeup Protection.While wearing these lenses, your eyes cannot tear up unless you wish so.
