A badass paladin and sorcerer commission I drew recently!

Character: Constantin Arx Validor, Half-Elf Paladin and Sorcerer

Few remember the beautiful city of A-Hima, the verdant crown jewel of old Erda, lost to the ravages of war for nigh over a millennium. Razed and burned to the ground, of her palaces and her gardens little remains but dust and death. This once utopian city-state was reduced to a bloody graveyard over the course of a week of such unspeakable horror, no historian would accurse their records with the evil that transpired. Even now, no life blooms in the land of the former A-Hima, fallen to a murder so foul it is said to have left a scar in soul of the land itself.

Yet not all is lost. For in times of great need, the gods summon forth heroes once long thought slain.

Constantin is one such person. Once a humble city guard, he was hastily promoted to first captain of the seventh shield company; one among ten levied in a last desperate attempt to protect their ancestral realm. Fate would never be so kind. The defense of the city was doomed from the start and the guardian died where he last stood, after six days of battle and shielding the last few survivors from a horde of horrors.

It was there too where he first awoke, after nearly a thousand years. The events of the Week of Terror burning vividly in his mind. Of his past before this, precious little remains. Of the time he spent dead, nothing at all.

Now he roams the land, a paladin forged in the helfire of a bygone age and pulled back to the living realm by the hand of the divine. Whatever purpose the gods found for him, he may never know. All that remains is an oath to never let the fate that befell A-Hima repeat itself, ever again.
