And now for something different! Here’s a fun Vampire the Masquerade commission I did recently!

Character: Penny Castor, Clan Gangrel Vampire

Born Elly Noir, a twin, she spent her mortal years in Norther California wine country. One day, a bored vampire spotted her and decided her time in the sun was over. Reborn as Penny Poteet, and later Penny Castor, she was sired into clan Gangrel, known for their tendency to take on animal traits when they fall to their beast and frenzy. Often turned for their survival skills, not their brains, she avoids her Gangrel family for their stupidity is often painful to witness.

Her fox tail became a part of her after failing to protect her friend and another human from a pack of werewolves. Her wings formed when a demon took her partner from her, burned to ash before her. Other traits she keeps hidden. These marks are a reminder of those she cared for and why she fights to protect her home, and humanity. She was traded for a party invite to a local Prince and raised under the Ivory Tower’s traditions. A sheriff now, she eyes everyone with suspicion. Best not to let people in if the heart will latch on so fully, and when they leave her, because they always do, she will be marked again by their passing. She will be the rock people need. The shoulder when the nights are just that vicious. She will hunt the monsters while roses make art and businessmen make deals.

Curious of the potential of her kind, her quiet nights spent researching origins of vampires and their blood lines. How can her kind evolve? Can it be cultivated like plants and preserve the traits they struggle to maintain? Gifted with the ability to turn into animal forms, she wonders the woods under the full moon for herself.
