The Rising Flight - Sketch (Patreon)

I proudly present you, The Rising Flight: an epic adventuring party of six, plus their red dragon wyrmling! This was a very fun commission and I think the final illustration(s) are fantastic, if I may say so myself!
The Heroes:
• Kuro, Cursed Human Rogue
• Bard, Tiefling Bard
• Dave, talfling (half-tiefling, half-halfling) Barbarian
• Bartholomew, Human Rogue
• Ajj, Loxodon Cleric of Kord
•Corrin, Firbolg Ranger
• Thorn, Red Dragon Wyrmling and Corrin's Animal Companion
Backgrounds:
Kuro is member of a noble family whose eldest daughters are born with ears and tails similar to hers. Her lineage and personality make her a natural leader and the one to act first, though few would actually label her responsible for making the decisions, herself included. When she was young, Kuro’s family estate was attacked and she escaped with her brother Kibo. Separated, she ended up joining the Syndicate to survive and worked as a courier before meeting up with the remnants of a traveling troupe and leaving the city to explore the world.
Bard escaped from the cult where she grew up and found herself in a world that is a lot different from what she was told. Together with her friend, Dave, Bard used her silver tongue and other magic means to find a place for herself. As the group adventured together, Bard learned that she was stolen from her mother, who was the owner of a merchant vessel, and given to the cult by her father, who was a member of the cult. Now, she seeks revenge against her father, or forgiveness? More probably revenge.
Dave escaped from the cult with Bard and the two originally tried to be wandering minstrels, until the rest of their group was killed in a dragon attack. Now, they travel with a band of adventurers sure of one thing; they'll never go back to the cult. As for Dave herself, Dave is a talfling; half tielfling, half halfling. This unique combination is so rare that the only couple talked about to produce this offspring where the queen and consort of the queendom of Floren, whose child was kidnapped from them soon after being born. Though the party has determined that she is indeed this heiress, the queen keeps herself at distance, for her own reasons, but finds her fit to use as her named heiress, if only so people stop pestering the queen about an heir.
Bartholomew left his village after the death of his mentor and traveled the world to find who he is and what he wants. In his travels with the party, he acquired a mysterious sword named Esurient, which desires its owner to hold wealth and points him towards valuable objects, but the original owner of this sword, the queen of the fey gnomes, wants it back, and it is only a matter of time before she makes her move.
Ajj hails from one of the elemental planes and is the only member of his kind he knows of on the natural world. He serves as a cleric of the storm lord and a captain of the Nation of Aeons, a group devoted to keeping peace in the land.
Corrin is a firbolg who left his group to search for his mother that disappeared under mysterious circumstances. Corrin found himself in a unique position when he happened across a dying dragon protecting an egg. The dragon bequeath the egg to Corrin, which hatched into his companion Thorn. Now, Corrin and Thorn travel with the group as they figure out the legacy that awaits young Thorn; he is the rightful heir to a flight of dragons, but his uncle finds his absence from the group the perfect time to make a play for power. Will Thorn accept his responsibility and go to the flight, or will he leave behind the responsibilities of the family he never knew to spend time with the only family he has known?
What do you think? :)
I'll post the full illustration(s) soon!
