Welcome to the wilds of Askren, a world unlike any other. Vast tracks of untamed lands stretch for hundreds of miles between cities and population centers. The two most notable features of Askren are its world-spanning ocean, known only as “The Ocean,” and a massive gash in the western portion of the northern land mass known as The Great Chasm. Sprawled across the chasm at its most narrow point is the human city of Overlook. Looking eastward, a great forest butts up against one of the mountainous dwarven strongholds, of which there are five in the known world. 

Continuing eastward brings you to the shadowlands. Its most prominent feature is the great city of Nartal, home to the Sha’rii, Shadow elves, or sometimes referred to as Dark Elves. The city rests on a plate suspended between three active volcanos. Massive chains support the plate and the city so its rides above the lava flows. The entire volcanic area, the forests and the mountains to the north are all in perpetual shadow due to the smoke from the volcanos and the moon Xiphon, which remains in place over the same portion of Askren. 

Many adventures and even more dangers await adventurers as they explore the wilds of Askren.
