Progress Picture: Orelyn the Dark Elf Mage (Patreon)

Here's a five step picture on how I drew November's reward. As you can see I always start with a pencil sketch. I really like creating the base concept on paper xD kind of old school. 

Then, I put in blocks of solid color in photoshop and choose a fitting background color.

The third step is to put in rough shadows. Then I work in finer details.

At the final step I added some light and details in the background to offer a sense of depth.
