I loved this episode, but I accept as a long term Tennant fan and him also being my favourite Doctor, I was more likely to. I think the bi-generation still means that 14 eventually will die and his essence will fade back in to 15, as when 14 says 15 seems fine, he says that's because 14 fixed himself and therefore 15 still benefits from that rest, so that also seems to show they are still the same person in essence and 14 doesn't have separate regen powers. I loved the story, NPH was great, there were so many callbacks to all eras, the score was great and I loved the intro to Ncuti! The end with 14 happy made me cry, as it was just so lovely. I think RTD is confident enough in himself and Ncuti that he knows he doesn't need to return to 14 any time soon, but sure, maybe he'll pop in in a few years time. In the meantime, I'm excited for Christmas Day!! (Oh and yes, here in the UK, Ncuti's first season will be referred to as season 1, which is going to get a bit confusing!)
