Newsletter / December Rewards update (Patreon)

Hi guys! It looks like Decembers rewards might ship out a little late again, I ordered the stickers 3 weeks ago but I think the company took time off for the holidays (as they should!) when I checked in today they're still in production but should be done and on their way in a week or so.

In terms of the book, currently I'm about to start working on the cover and 2 other full page spreads that coincide with the two different chunks of the book (one for my art journey and one for the in depth tutorials section). I've been holding off on the cover the whole time because it makes me nervous. I kept sketching out different ideas of what to do because it feels like it has to be so grand and impressive. The lovely woman who is doing the book editing suggested that because so much of the book is about growth as an artist I should redraw some old art for the cover. For some reason this image above in particular felt perfect to me. It was one of the first things I drew when I was gifted my first digital tablet for my (i think) 23rd birthday, which is what got me start drawing again after quitting for so several years. I love the colors and the flow of it, but I could do a much better job now. I just have to figure out how to add an extra panel so that it stretches across the front and back of the book haha.

When the book goes live it will be launched on a kickstarter (similar to all the art of Loish books as it's the same company) and I wanted to make different bonus rewards including exclusive stickers, prints, pins and I hope a really nice sketchbook so any of you who are artists can get inspired to draw your own stuff! If there's something specific you want to see, especially for the pins let me know since I'm still sketching out ideas right now. I definitely wanted to make the black and yellow candle girl into one because I think black nickel metal would look so awesome on the candles. But if you guys want big pins, small pins, (board filler pins?) black and white pins, animal pins, angel pins, share your ideas with me.

I hope everyone is kicking butt in this new year. I've got 6 weeks left of this project and I'm so excited to be done haha
