To the acclaimed adjudicators and J-Dog, When we rolled characters everyone's tragic backstory was tragically the same. They were all abandoned and don't know who their real parents are. I am new to DMing and am doing a campaign with friends who have never played before but are excited. We are three sessions in and while I've asked people outside what they imagine for their character going forward, they all just want to see what happens. I humbly ask is that too much work to ask of me? To co create a story together do I need more input from them, or should I let it go and see what happens while playing?

I prostrate myself at the feet of Dice Christs chosen extensions of his mercy and judgement. I fear I have betrayed dice Christ and my players. When I was deployed overseas I started my own game with my friends. We played very often sometimes 3 times a week. One night they begged me to play instead of going to the gym. I told them roll a nat 20 and we will play. Lo’ and behold their first roll was a nat 20. They started screaming and I was speechless. I left for the gym anyway to everyone’s disappointment and it haunts me to this day. Did I betray dice Christ and my players and can I be forgiven or have I blasphemed beyond the point of redemption. I await your mercy or righteous fury.

Some years ago I was playing in a campaign based in the universe of magic the gathering. I rolled crazy high stats for my barbarian, Llanath/Lenny who ended up being completely stacked. This super jacked stacked behaviour continued when I got a god patron that I could sacrifice magic items to for permanent buffs. My dm wouldn't stop giving me stuff. I ended up getting some levels in warlock randomly, and then some gloves, and then two levels in fighter, so I could shoot around 15 Eldrich blast with an action surge. Nothing was hard, and
