I thought the reason birds can see into water is because they're looking straight down into it. At an angle the water is too reflective.

I'd like to put in an appeal for the Eagle case. Eagles aren't swimming through the water looking for prey. Birds of prey dive on surface level fish. Plz appeal this case. I believe the DM is in the right. My client was inhumanely punished.

I always set a precedent when my players build characters - here’s the setting, build something you’ll have fun with, and don’t be overpowered because sometimes failure is worth it. My players like this method but I am also going to put the lid on things that are overkill.

I think that the dm was wrong for inflating prices because the spell needs 1000GPS worth of oils, so if the oils cost 3000 gold pieces you’ll only need a third of that for the spell. So he owes you two castings of reincarnate.

Just subbed to the Patreon and making my way through these old EPs: in the case of the hat, seems like the issue was one of them? Like the DM was going for vaudeville stage magician who pulls rabbits and doves out of a hat, so changing the bird fucked with the theme?
