UPDATE: Changes to the Council of Elders Tier (Patreon)

Dear Naddpoles,

You might have heard this mentioned at the end of our most recent episode, but we're updating the Council of Elders tier!

Lately we've found it's a little hard to properly shout everyone out at the end of each episode. This is a wonderful conundrum, of course, because it means we're building a fantastic community. And in order to continue growing this community, we've decided to streamline our shoutouts so that we can add some new perks that we're really excited about. Starting today, our benevolent Council of Elders will also receive the following rewards:

1) VIP Access to all live shows you attend.

2) An Exclusive, Monthly AMA Post where the 2 Crew answers your questions!

Thanks as always for supporting us! You make making this show possible, and for that we're eternally grateful.

In what way are the shout outs being streamlined? I guess we will find out soon anyways but these changes seem like they'll be beneficial over all with the growing council. VIP access might get excessive though.

Super cool. I imagined they were a bit long for you guys and appreciated all your work in doing them. I would *love* to hear the exploits of your favorites from time to time in whatever forum. Also a question, and maybe I'm a noob for asking this, but VIP access? What does that mean?

Yeah, but how often are are folks gonna be able to attend a live show? Most fans probably live in cities that will never see a live show, and I'm sure the boobs are interested in doing a variety of cities instead of just the same ones over and over.

Samantha Smith aka The Smithsonian, is currently working on the largest collection of Ulfgar Goes Punch, Alanis Learns a Spell, and Thiala Prays to Pelor in the world. She has the first copy of all 3 and is looking for their elusive sequels. Not as good as a shout out from the best, but here's my limited creativity.

Honestly i'm surprised the shout outs lasted this long being how long they take and poor Murph having to do them by himself alot of times. I mean the council shoutouts were taking over 15 minutes to get done. I can't see myself using the live show VIP feature given my situation but i'm happy with whatever we get. Council of Elders forever!

I'm assuming that by 'streamline' they just mean they'll shout out everyone's names instead of expanding on their stories each week.

To clarify with the AMA post; does “exclusive” mean only Council of Elders can ask questions, or does it mean no one else will even be able to see it? I ask purely from the perspective of running the wiki and wanting to know what information I’ll have access to, lol

I personally have always skipped the shoutouts since they were introduced, so anything that streamlines them so I can listen to episodes without having to scrub through 25 minutes at the end is welcome. (I listen while driving and there isn't an easy way to skip to next episode on podcast apps being controlled by the buttons in my car steering wheel. You just gotta keep scrubbing or put yourself in danger by fiddling with the phone screen.)
