It's Monster Madness down at the Crick! Emily, Jake, and Caldwell draft teams, then compete in a battle royale featuring D&D's scrubbiest monsters. Murph DMs the encounter and hosts the event as Jonah the Crick Bullywug.

I joined Patreon in June 2023. I have listened to every episode of campaign 1, 2, 3, trinyvale, HBS, all Patreon 8BBC, D20, follow them on all socials, I’ve listened to very short rest. I am somehow just now learning that 8-Bit Book Club existed in 2016 before Naddpod was ever a thing. Idk how. I’m genuinely shocked at myself. So many references to 8BBC bits I thought I just forgot or missed. I was like dang I reeeeeeeeally don’t remember some of these Sonic Bits 😂. Don’t worry I shall listen to all of it.

Hey guys! Loved the one off! Here’s an idea that might be fun. It would be cool to see/play the battle of moonstone starting from an NPC’s perspective. A band of guards fighting through town and into the bar or something along those lines

A Lore Lords style dive into the Gods Moonshine, Bev, and Hardwon worship would be gnarly. A D&D Choose Your Own Adventure book would be cool too BUT a D&D CYOA DVD (they have one) would be cooler ; )

Would enjoy to hear the gang do some lore deep dives like they did with dragons on 8BBC. Maybe an episode on the different factions, beast tribes, or races in Bahumia.

at the whistling part i instantly imagined the ultra hot moonshine getting spotted by a random guy in a tavern. she winks and gives her beholder a smile revealing her four remaining teeth. he shudders but is even more disturbed by the crooked thumbs-up she gives him afterwards.

Sooo goood! Been waiting for this since the original 8 but book club ep. For next Mixed Bag you guys should play the ghost buster themed game InSpectres which requires no prep and relies more on improvised spooky story telling.

Since this episode took place in the past and only one monster could survive, I humbly request that a fully grown Nadd the slaad appears in the main show once they ever reach the Crick, as Caldwell's prize.
