Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to let you know I put out a new YouTube video, and I thought I would share the longer version of it here. I had to cut this video down as much as possible because YouTube tends to like shorter videos. If you've been here for a while, I'm sure a lot of these concepts will be familiar to you.

Also, this video is basically about the caged system, but I didn't want to overwhelm people by throwing too many concepts in on top of the main idea of the lesson. I hope you enjoy it.

By the way, thanks to all of you for helping to make this strange, sad year a little brighter for me. It means so much to me that so many people appreciate the years and years I've spent finding ways to simplify and break down weird guitar and music concepts.

Cheers to you!

Also, you may have noticed I haven't done any live lessons in a few weeks. I've been spending time with my girlfriend's family, which required some pretty intense quarantine regulations. I'll be back to livestreaming in the middle of January!

I hope you've all had happy holidays and I look forward to the New Year.

Presenting the same information in different ways helps me learn, so I find this one useful. Can you explain the key of the Amin-Emaj jam track?

Scott Paul Johnson

Awesome! I am not afraid to repeat stuff for this exact reason! I'd check out my lessons on Harmonic Minor in Music Theory Monday lessons. Amin - Emaj is a Harmonic Minor i - V.

This video is so good, I joined your patreon because of it. I am still new here; I know you have links for backing tracks but are there other videos like this with the backing track and fretboard marked to practice with.
