The people want you to binge 😂 Enjoy it the way your heart desires!!! Also, thank you for being comfortable enough to share your personal story 🙏 💜 Here are my questions for episodes 1 &2: 1. Do you agree/disagree with Eren’s statement “living within the walls makes humans no different than cattle”? Does exploring outside the walls equate to having freedom? 2. If you were put in the world of AOT and titans invaded the walls, would you react more like Eren, Mikasa or Armin? 3. Do you see any similarities or differences (if any) between the first titan that broke the wall (in episode 1) and the second titan that ran towards the wall in episode 2?

fox

binge binge binge simply for your own sake lol not a question but I think you should really stop and reflect on what you know about the walls so you can go forward with understanding. -there are 3 main circular walls -there are cities that have their own walls protruding from the main walls, designed to attract titans as opposed to titans attacking randomly -the world outside wall maria is a mystery to the humans (no one but the survey corp leaves the walls) -the titans broke through two gates, one for the city and one for the main wall maria. so there was a lot of land lost inside wall maria, causing a huge strain on resources. -the safest area is at the center of all these walls, which is where the most powerful people live. it's tough trying to advise y'all and also not spoil anything 😅 watching you theorize is sooo fun 😊 (If I made any mistakes in this comment I apologize, I'm super tired right now lol) Also one last thought, it's kind of interesting watching two men react to the actions of these anime characters in these different shows, you guys often say things and I'm like 'thats not what I thought' lol for example, I think early episodes Eren is super annoying and weak, not leader material at all.

Ashley K

I had a good feeling y’all would give us eps. 2 today 😂 raging on my computer trying to get my work done quick so I can watch this soon!

Malalay

This show's first two episodes are remarkable in their character introduction, world-building (and of course the amazing soundtrack). If you search for the best-rated shows on IMBD, you'll find 4 AoT episodes in the top ten alone. You guys chose (in my opinion) the best anime shows to watch as you firsts, there really is no topping this lol. What do you think of the religious elements of the show? With the preaching in the first episode about the wall being divine and then the man in episode two preaching to his death, if the walls are believed to be divine, what does this make y'all think of the origins of the walls? How do you think Eren, Light, and Hinata are similar?

nizzy

i'm all for binge watching aot lol

asta_697

What were your initial impressions of the world and the titans after watching the first two episodes, and how do you think the characters will evolve in response to the challanges they face and will face?

Taylor

It only gets better from here, more action, more emotion, more epicness

SJ

So glad yall started this series 🫶

Dayana Santamaria

Finally, que agradecida estoy con los chicos, soooo happy to watch this show for the 6th time

uchenna

begging for a binge, it's the best way to enjoy this series in my personal experience, and for many others too i'm sure. the immersion is insane, you really feel like you're inside the show

Alana

thank you guys for sharing your personal lives with us! It takes a lot to be able to be so raw and honest about personal experiences, so just know that all of your supporters are super appreciative of your openness and proud of you for being the great guys y'all are!

uchenna

my questions: you seem to be fully on board with eren's quest for revenge, but on the opposite end, in what ways— if any at all— do you think a desperation, hunger, and obsession for revenge can at any point be a detriment to someone's goals rather than a driving force? is there ever a line crossed, or a point where an obsession with revenge is no longer commendable or glorify-able? where do those lines fall for you guys? after seeing how little many people actually make it back alive from outside the walls, and after remarking how little many have volunteered for training, do you believe that fighting back no matter what, despite all the odds, is logical? necessary? why? thinking about the trio of characters you’ve met so far: armin bows easily to authority as he clearly prioritizes survival above anything else and seems (not always: but often) willing to lower his head to get by. mikasa seems unafraid of most things *except* eren getting hurt. eren seems unafraid of anything. what do you think their differing responses to the threat of the titans predicts about their roles in the overarching story going forward? how do you think these character traits may hurt or help them?

Lauren H.

God...I hadn't really thought about the parallels between this and Gaza until Jared pointed out that little kids are going through this in real life too. Humanity is so despicable sometimes.

Jay Mccarron

I personally am hoping for a binge of this series and frequent releases on here 😂 but can understand if that is not the case. Your reactions and insights so far are extraordinary and very insightful. I imagine you are going to immensely enjoy this experience of this amazing story. Can't wait to see more from you fellas and I will be here for it 👍

ARMY_Maenad

Hi again! The kids are 10 yo when the series started and 12 yo when they enlisted. On another note, I always thought Jared was the older sibling due to your dynamic. I am sorry to hear your story and trauma. This series will tear at your heartstrings, make you laugh, cry, rage and leave you speechless. And you are right. There are a lot of parallels to the real world currently. Hang in there and keep them coming. I’ll be right here experiencing it with you!

antionette7

Thank you so much for continuing to be open and share personal details. Your vulnerability is admired and appreciated. I am sorry for the loss of your mom. May you continue to experience peace, healing, and joy in your lives. I am lobbying for viewing the intros and outros. The music is such an integral part of the art in this series. The Easter eggs are not overt and take effort to notice and analyze. I vote the value the music adds supersedes seeing a few easter eggs. Anime is so different than western animation. I was surprised how quickly anime art and storytelling moved my mind and heart. I’m glad you have experienced something similar. You may just be hooked!

antionette7

Cheers to the 3 “architects!” Love Eren, Mikasa, and Armin. Their friendship’s defining moments are one of the best parts of the AOT experience. Question: First impressions…which character are you? Eren, Mikasa, or Armin? Question: What is your primary motivation to drive you forward each day? Question: What is your greatest strength? Thanks for sharing another reaction so quickly. Love your work.💜

AOT is one of my all time favorite show, I watched this when it was released on 2013, and I’ve loved this show since, the last and final episode was released on November 2023 so this show has been running for 10 years. I always recommend this show to anyone who hasn’t watched animes before because to me I think it has one of the best plot ever. Just to let you know guys for future episodes, if you don’t see the screen that has “To Be Continued” it means there’s going to be some post credits to watch.

fkNN_

MOOOOREEE AOT THIS ANIME IS SOOOO GOOD

Rheyia Pomar

I'm just in awe about how spot on J&J are in their commentaries (not gonna point out which ones ofc). To all the ppl who have watched AoT already, "If you know, you know" 😅😁🤩 My question for you guys: As you can see, Eren is a bit overbearing at times because of his burning hatred towards the Titans and for getting revenge later on, even to the point of getting himself (and his friends) in unnecessary trouble. Do you agree that he is overestimating his capabilities and being unrealistic? or do you think it's necessary to have this kind of over-the-top drive if he wants to achieve his ultimate goal?

Viral MajicJ

Will y’all be watching everything with us? Cs I’d love that! The fact that I knoww like I KNOWWWW FOR SURE y’all gon love this show. The plot is realllyy crazyyyy

Natasha C.

I adore hearing your commentaries on the shows you've started so far! Things to know that are NOT spoilers but to clear things up: 1) Armin is male (but is voiced by a female voice actor). 2) You are right, they are now within Wall Rose. 3) The hat Armin was crying holding is his grandfather's who died in the food shortage "sacrifice". 4) To clear up ages, the kids are 10 when the Titans invade and are 12 when they enlist. 5) Zhiganshina (or written in translation with spelling: Shiganshina) is a walled city attached to the outside of Wall Maria. The first breach with the big red Titan was to get into Zhiganshina, the second breach with the muscled "football" Titan breached Wall Maria. 6) I would say you can watch the intros and outros as you watch, they only make sense to most if you know the story and personally the music sets the mood for each season. 7) Once you see "To be continued" you don't need to watch the rest - the ending snippets are next episode's previews which you might find spoilery. BUT if you don't see "To be continued" there is a post-credit you should watch. Just also wanted to say my heart goes to you guys for some of your past that you've shared. You both seem very passionate and insightful! Looking forward to seeing your anime journey! 🙌🏻

NarumiYutani

..when is the next Death Note episode coming? :D I can't watch this yet, I haven't seen it myself :/ xD

jaredandjordananime

Aw thanks so much Natasha! We appreciate your kind words, as well as this clarifying information! It's quite helpful. We are elated that you have decided to join our journey here on Patreon! Let's goooooo!! ❤️

Hippopi

Imagine the torture we had to endure for those of us who watched this weekly back in 2013. And then had to wait FOUR YEARS for Season 2! I gave up and just started reading the manga because I was so desperate to know what would happen. The manga was also ongoing so I had to wait for a lot of that too.

Hippopi

Literally all of this takes place within the walls. Think of the area within the walls as an entire country. There are mountains, rivers, numerous cities, farmland, caves, etc all within the walls.

nikki

I remember clearly that excruciatingly long wait for Season 2.. even doubting if we're gonna get it!! 🥲 And back then it was not as widely popular like it was now but I think when they released it on Netflix it exploded.. I was so happy how it was finally getting all the deserved praise and attention.. 🥹💖

Rhast

So the territory inside the walls is larger than it seems. However, they lost the outer wall, losing a HUGE amount of land.

Chiara D'Errico

Intros (and outros) are incredible in this show, you can't skip them

Kia

Okayy so AOT is about to be legendary. It already is. I’m so tempted to continue on my own. It’s too good. But we’re doing this journey together. So I’ll wait. My thoughts: These kids are indeed extremely mature for their age. As I gained from other comments they were 10 when Zhiganshina was attacked. Ten years old and experiencing extreme terror and trauma like that. I can imagine growing up in a world like that and conditions of being kept in a wall would make them a little more wise for their age. They have to worry about if their worlds will crumble at any moment. Then to be displaced from their home and make that decision to fight for themselves at just 12 years old. It’s a sad reality for them. I have an idea about Mikasa’s life but I will not share because I don’t want to put any idea about her background into your heads. The show allows insight to what they want us to know when they want us to know it so I want us to see when we are meant to see but I think I may be correct in my thinking. Anyway, these 2 episodes set up the world amazingly. I love the information piece as well. I think AOT is about to become my ultimate favorite anime. Maybe it’s too early to say but idk I’M IN IT! As always much love and support 🫶🏾

Veronica

I binge watched AOT the first time since I was so invested with the story. So many questions will arise as you go and your opinions may change as well. I recommend going at your own pace and enjoy every moment of this masterpiece. The big three indeed. Mikasa, Eren, and Armin. Their journey has just begun.

Ibrahim

Skip the intro til you finish the show the got spoilers in them

Carmen Villanueva

i know u guys are jus starting anime but u guys should watch demon slayer as well! new season is coming in like 2 months so maybe yall can catch up for the new season :)

jaredandjordananime

You are so sweet 💜 thank you so much for your comment and love. We hope to continue creating high-quality reaction videos for all of you beautiful people :)

Gabriel Mendez

That's really cool that you're watching this for the first time with them. I commend your patience. please continue to share your thoughts after each episode

Kia

I think I’ll enjoy experiencing it together a lot more than watching it on my own time. It doesn’t feel like I’m watching alone. I will most definitely continue to share my thoughts after each episode.

champa

Quick side note for you guys!! To get a rough idea on how big the scale of the world is: - The walls that surround humanity are approximately 723,822 Km2. - For reference Texas, second biggest US state just behind Alaska, is only 696,241 km2. The walls are larger than Texas.

Gabriel Mendez

It's incredibly reassuring and fun to see how serious you two are taking these episodes. You did right by using a notepad lol. As someone who's seen this show seven times my enjoyment still comes from finding things I didn't catch before. The writing has a way of fulfilling the promises it makes, for example the colossal titan being introduced in the first 30 seconds, and then the show paying off on that promise not just by showing him kick down the wall in the same episode but ending on a huge traumatic moment for Eren. Just know you're in good hands in terms of the storytelling, it feels like the writer Hajime Iseyama never forgets a name or off handed comment no matter how small. The manga's creator, original voice cast, composers, episode directors, and many of the animators are all legendary status. By some miracle attack on titan got some of the most talented people in the industry to make this show. Together they created multiple of the highest rated singular episodes in all of television on imdb. I hope you give some love to the music that plays during the episodes as it really amplifies the storytelling too. Lastly, my question for you 2: what do you think the show is or has tried to set up in a broad sense, and what are your predictions on where it will go and how it will be executed? Obviously the show will go on for many episodes so I'm curious what you think the show has in store for it's audience.

Kel

Just hearing what you two have lived through, I know this show is going to be very close to your hearts the whole way through. I’m sorry about what your family has gone through but it’s so inspiring to see what that trauma encouraged you to do with your life. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts as we go along.

Kel

I only started watching this show originally because my favorite reactors were watching it and I did the same thing, watched one episode per week along with them. It was a fun way to do it and it helped answer questions I had while watching because of the discussions. Little did I know it would end up being my favorite show of all time. I hope it’s the same for you!! My only caution is don’t make the mistake I did—don’t look up anything about the show, even something as innocent as a character’s name. You WILL get spoiled that way. And stay away from YouTube comments! It ruined some big plot reveals for me. 😭 But I’m so excited to hear your thoughts as you go along!

Kia

Yes! It helps you understand better if you have any questions. I think it’s gonna be fun! And oh ofc. I’ve gotten spoiled for shows way too many times looking up small things. Thank you for the heads up. I will most definitely stay away from comments and possible spoilers. I don’t want to be spoiled about anything at all. I can’t wait for the next episode!

lauren crawford

Please watch the intros. At least once there's two for every season except season two (there's only one) a lot of reactors will do a whole separate video just watching them because they're phenomenal. But I feel like yall would pick too many spoilers up with the way you're analyzing things.

Gatha Naranath

this is the first time spent money on someones patreon- i just cant. Because u guys discuss so well i just had to see u watch my fave show of all time. I know u post on youtube but i just couldnt wait

999 Shit

Can u post everyone day attack on titan and at least 2 episode

Dïmya

they are only made for hype. at the end of the day they need to sell in order to keep making these. just like trailers. true watchers don't watch the intros until after the fact.

ThuLu

After hearing abit your life story, I have huge amount of respect for you guys, I couldn't imagine the pain you went threw in your life

As someone who spent the first few years of my career working as a frontline outreach worker, amidst the pandemic, and the some of the worst times of the the opioid epidemic in Canada, I just want to truly and sincerely applaud you for your work in strengthening the local opioid task force. It's not easy making changes within the system, especially when you have personal stakes in the issue, and it sounds like you really did. Thanks for your ard work and contributions towards the opioid crisis!
