I love how you guys pause and actually try to understand the plot! Never be sorry about pausing! That's the reason we love your reactions 😂 Keep doing that because your future shows (Attack on Titan, Haikyuu, Jujutsu Kiasen, etc) will be more enjoyable if you understand the plot 😊 It seems like everyone is playing checkers while Light and L are playing 3D chess 😂 😂

lol I can’t believe you guys are dipping your toes into the anime world and “Death Note” at that. Its my 2nd favorite show. It was the first anime I watched in Japanese because I couldn’t wait for the dub episodes each week lol. My favorite anime is One Piece. like if I had the opportunity to join Luffy’s crew I wouldn’t hesitate. If BTS was having a concert at the same time Luffy was setting sail I wouldn’t hesitate to jump on the ship.

It going to lie I feel like the dub would be better as well as in the past they have missed a few things while writing notes and it is a reaction video so I feel like you will appreciate it more as well as understand it more by not only focusing your gaze on the whole of the screen to appreciate the animation but also understand it in a easier way as the dub for the series is really good and easier to understand

haikyuu is winning currently - most people agreed two heavy anime at once would be too much for them to keep track of. but i'm def rooting for FMA over Demon Slayer next round!!!

Just FYI, the secondary meaning of pious, which applies more here than devout/religious is self-righteous (which comes from the idea that religious people see themselves as better than non-believers). so he's saying that people will act all morally righteous and condemn killing criminals in public but secretly love it

Lovin’ the discussions, predictions and reaction to the plot twists! 🤩🤭 I want to point out that at 51.50 the subtitles said “FBI agents entered Japan four days ago. They are currently investigating the police involved.” And L was holding on to the list. One question: what do you think L might do next, after learning that several police officers involved in the investigation, resigned in fear of Kira killing them and that there are FBI agents investigating the police involved in the Kira case?

yay~ I loved your reaction! I hope you don’t mind reading long comments :’) what I have to say about your reaction: • Jordan, you were right when you said the number of crimes had dropped bc the criminals are scared. if you remember on the first episode, Light said that he didn’t write the cause of death of his victims on purpose. he is doing it so people will know that someone is 'passing judgement'. if they had died from different causes, no one would have noticed/know that criminals had been dying all of a sudden. but since they all died the same way, it has been noticed by everyone and now, all the criminals in the world know that someone/something will kill them if they keep committing crimes. that’s the main reason why the number of crimes has decreased, because they are scared. • Jared said that Matsuda is impressionable. I would say 'candid'? in my language at least, it means honest but in an innocent/pure way I believe. like we said, people put up a front in society. so how could anyone dare say in a POLICE MEETING, in a room full of people giving it their all to capture the scariest man in the world, something like 'but he is making a world a better place :(' like, 'shouldn’t we let him be? he is killing the bad guys.' you have to be very daring or very oblivious. • I was so looking forward to your reaction after knowing that the head of the investigation was actually his father haha! and actually, you missed that detail. his name tag was on the table in the Interpol meeting. it said 'Soichiro Yagami' next to Touta Matsuda in episode 2 :) • no, L can’t go back in time lol. what is done is done. • you might think L made a big jump out of nowhere when he guessed that Kira could kill people only if he knew their face and name in the beginning of the episode. but how did he guess that? because he noticed that the news about the criminals who died by heart attacks had been broadcast on tv. we can assume that none of the criminals mentioned only on the radio died. • L can only make 'little moves' like you said and be 'behind' simply because he is starting from 0. if you think about it, he is not behind at all. look what he has managed to prove with just observing who died, how, when, etc. Light literally holds all the cards. he has all the answers. on the other hand, L can only observe and deduce, yet he managed to get fast to were they are now. • yes, L is attending the police meetings on his computer, on the floor, in this dark room.. :| • it’s very interesting to see how everything is uncertain because of how human beings work. nobody trusts anyone, especially L and the police. both are walking in the dark room next to people they don’t know. L has always been working on his own, and only on the cases he was interested in. so he can’t be trusted by the police from the beginning. even more now that they know that the face and name are important factors. from the police pov, you can only think that it’s unfair because L is probably safe, when they are not. on the other hand, if I was L, I would not have a great opinion about the police either. I mean they are 141 agents on this case only and they can do nothing but doing what a young man they don’t even know is urging them to do through a computer. that’s ridiculous. plus now, it is very likely that one of them or someone close to them is Kira. in conclusion, the police and L are not a team at all. • and finally, I am glad you are starting to acknowledge Ryuk. not that I like him haha, but we tend to underestimate him and see him as an airhead. he might be one, just a random weird guy looking for some entertainment, but he also thinks. you (or Light) would think he is useless, but like he said, he is not on Light’s side, which is the reason why he won’t be useful to him, unless it’s beneficial to him. he is talking about the eyes deal now, because he can increase his lifespan, since Light really wants to know the identity of the person who is following him. I don’t know in which platform you are watching the episodes so I don’t know if they say too much at some point. saying that someone was stalking him was already edgy and I believe they will start mentioning new characters before their appearance (I am thinking of many of them just rn), so.. and now I will stop spamming ㅠㅠ

OMG this poll…. It’s so difficult! I haven’t watched Haikyuu!, but all the other ones are TOP NOTCH. I would say to watch the ones that have been completed: Attack on Titan, Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood (Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaisen are still ongoing). Both series are pretty lengthy 94 episodes and 64 episodes respectively (not including the OVAs) AOT would be my pick. I only have one advice: prepare yourselves emotionally for ALL of those picks on your list.

I really want to know how you guys are enduring your “anime itch” and not just going on to binge watch the rest of Death Note 🤣 Seeing your reactions to the plot twists and listening to you discuss your insights throughout, makes me feel like I’m watching this for the first time. I’m so tempted to just watch ahead 🤣 but I’m going to refrain and follow along with your schedule cus seeing your jaws drop is totally worth it 👌🏽

I love how this show brings in different aspects of society: religion, education, family, justice, etc! Quick question: do you know which anime is winning the poll right now? I been watching anime for a long time and seen many people react to an anime but I think y'all that I'm aware of pause and back tracka lot which I find very appealing to me. Keep it up happy you all are enjoying anime to this extent.

Something to keep in mind with anime that were initially manga, is that there is usually only ONE author, who will often draw the manga themselves. So this incredible plot was created by one mind. Same goes for Attack on Titan.
