It's just a teddy bear that's mean mugging with a pile of money on my shirt but my boy is wearing a DBZ shirt 😆 but ty for your kind words twins my health issues aren't life threatening thankfully and God willing won't ever be but ty all the same Ok first, great reaction as always, and second, that part when Gon said he wanted to know why his father chose hunting over him gave me chills, now I know nothing about this anime and it's story but why did that almost feel like slight foreshadowing and Gons optimism is a defense mechanism for some kind of abandonment trauma? I'd like to know what you guys think, and again I've never watched this anime before so I hope I haven't unintentionally spoiled anything

Killua is my favorite character and i cannot wait for you guys to learn more about him and all of the main characters the more you guys watch! you guys dont understand how excited i am to rewatch with you guys. i quite literally squealed a few minutes ago when i finally subbed so i can watch you guy’s journey

Gon has to be one of the most empathetic, optimistic and honest person in anime i swear, he's the person we all wanna be. but don't let his cuteness fool you! him keeping up with killua while even on a simple run is a big deal and that's why killua was so surprised. to say why it's impressive without spoilers: we already know that killua has a crazy amount of strength, just from the fact that he's immune to poisoning.... majority of the time i'll say that kurapika is my favorite character but it's neck and neck with killua. questions: do you think that our main four are all gonna pass the hunter exam? if not, who will fail? and who's reasoning to become a hunter gets you in your feels the most...? overall: it's a great show and these reactions are top tier as always.

I finally caught up with the reactions 🫠 I am soooo happy y'all are reacting to HxH. I think I've rewatch this show like 2 or 3 times fully and every once in n a while I like to rewatch specific episodes. I love the interactions between Gon and Killua. That innocence and child mentality where it's almost like a game to them vs how everyone else is taking it so seriously. I genuinely feel like just being around children can make an adult feel young again. I have a toddler and at first I didn't know how to play with him. I forgot what it was to play like a kid. It's a crazy realization and I think most adults forget that feeling as well. I'm looking forward to your reactions for this show 🙌

cannot wait for you to watch this, I thought I was excited to see you two watch aot but man ep 100+ of this show is something else the chimera ant arc is actually peak anime, granted every ep of this show is great but be prepared for PEAK

It might actually be a good idea to check out episode 1 of the 1999 version. They show an important character in that episode, which you haven't seen yet. From what I've heard, they didn't include it in the 2011 version, because they didn't know the series would become as popular as it did and have so many episodes that the character would reappear. I don't need a reaction to the episode, but it would be great if you guys had time to watch it sometime anyway.

Guys PLEASE do NOT spoil characters just because you like them and want to defend them. It’s really upsetting that someone would tell J&J that Leorio is a teenager when that was a whole reveal in the show. You’ve taken away their chance to feel the impact of that comical moment. I know people are just excited but THINK please.

Another great episode, with a great discussion by my favorite reactors J+J. I have a question for you guys on something which was briefly touched upon: In Japanese anime and videogames it's common to see luck treated as an ability, on the same level as strength or intelligence. Do you think having good luck can be a legitimate skill? If yes, what can one do to improve it? Or is it just luck after all? Not a spoiler, but I will enjoy how your answers reflect later in this show.

Killua is literally one of my favorite anime characters of all time. I’m 24 and have been watching anime since I came out of the womb 😂. My dad is a huge anime fan and I started watching because he would always have it on the tv. I remember watching HxH when it came out with him. It’s so interesting to watch something as a child and then rewatching as an adult. You just understand a lot more about the story, writing, and characters with an adult’s mindset and perspective. Maybe I’ll even understand more when I’m 80 and rewatching HxH again 😂😂. Side note - Hisoka’s theme song is my favorite OST in HxH. The Spanish flair is so good. Love your reactions! ❤️❤️

Killua to Gon "hey, how old are you?" one of the best encounter scenes in any animes that's why my profile picture is this scene 🤣 This phase 1 also one of the great way of story telling by Togashi. It's always hard to introduce main characters and their background in the beginning of the story but he made it flawlessly with them running and talking so we can grasp some ideas of these characters story, especially Leorio's back story. Btw, even though 1999 version has great art and music, I still can't accept the fact that they changed so many characters' dialogues, especially when Killua encountered Gon, their dialogues were reversed. And there's also scene that Leorio stole something, which doesn't make sense with his character. So many changes they made that will change a whole character development in the story. I think that's also why they didn't continue the series until what 2011 version did, because the further the story moving fowrward, it just doesn't make sense with their version of characters. You can watch 1999 version in your free time, but to see Togashi's original version in manga, it's waaaay closer in HxH 2011 version.

Funny enough when you spoke about it feeling like a bunch of games. The mangaka, Togashi is a huge game nerd (and had dreams of being a game designer), so he makes alot of the challenges and obstacles in his story feel like a game. He loves games so much in fact, that for a while, he took a haiatus that took at least a month because at that time, the newest game of the dragon quest franchised was released, and he played that the whole time instead of writing the manga There even is a picture of him back in the day where he is in a trash-filled room, fixated on the tv while playing either a nintendo or sega console.

i'm realy sad we dont get to see "their choc" to the reveal Leorio is a teenager because some people still dont get the simple rule "dont spoil anything"... not only that diminish the experience of the reactor themself but also goes against the whole idea of watching a reaction chanel, we cant get genuine reaction if they alredy know what will happen, hope the moderator will be more harsh against spoiler :x PS: i dont wanna be an asshole and i know isnt that big of a deal they just spoil a joke not so relevant to the story, but they will never learn to stop doing that and will eventualy spoil bigger thing if people let them do it and never call them out T_T

i would not said gon is very empathetic thoug... optimistic ? yes, honest ? yes, i would even said open minded and accepting of other to a degree, but isnt the one to put himself in other shoes and understand how other feel IMO, still a ray of sun and an overall positiv kid :)

i agree. im a first time watcher as well and thought it was a fun-fact from an interview or guidebook of some sort and wouldnt come up in the actual anime. but seeing that it was mentioned in the anime in a later episode was a bit disappointing since im sure i wouldve had the same reaction as the kids
