I have an interesting question, something I've never thought about until now. Its revealed that Wammy's House is training potential successors for L, however L was also raised here, before he made a name for himself as an investigator. So who was L being trained to succeed? Is Wammy's House simply a school for gifted orphans? Why would Watari take it upon himself to found such an organisation? Watari had some military experience, but that's about all we know about him. I haven't read the manga so I don't know if more is revealed there. What do you guys think? Also, I think that second rule is to be read as: If I (owner of a Death Note) deliberately misspell your name four times, I will die immediately. However, nothing changes for you. You can still be killed by a Death Note. Whereas if your name was legitimately misspelled four times, nothing would happen to me, but you would be rendered immune to being killed by Death Notes. Most of these rules are only known by the Shinigami, and even then, as Ryuk has illustrated previously, not even all Shinigami know all the rules.

Heres what i find sad, the shinigami eye deal takes half your remaining lifespan so when lights dad made the deal and died basically that same day it means he would have died within a few days anyway, based on what he said he would have likely committed suicide… I mean thats what i gathered from what we know about the notebook so far.

2024-05-26 12:46:12 I think L was a position that existed before the L we know, from what I've gathered I don't think L was the creator of the position and title and wasn't the first L. That's what I always thought
